For everyone who likes their punk rock fast, catchy and sunny, look no further! Sun-0-Bathers got you covered with their first EP aptly titled “Local Warming”. Inspired by searing beaches, punk rock / baseball legend Scott Radinsky (Ten Foot Pole / Pulley) and 80’s and 90’s punk rock waves, Sun-0-Bathers are here to make some heads nod.

Sun-0-Bathers hail from Leeuwarden, The Netherlands and was founded in the summer of 2017. High speed melodic 90’s punk rock, lightning fast solo’s, and a modern approach of old-school slightly distorted vocals mixed with the occasional catchy “ooh’s and aah’s”. As if Zeke, Pennywise and Night Birds had an romantic affair with a quite pleasant lovechild as a result.

In support of the release, Sun-0-Bathers released two music videos for the tracks “Sunspray” and “The Legend Of Scott Radinsky“. The latter being an ode to the previously mentioned punk rock and baseball superhero.

“Local Warming” is out now on Morning Wood Records (The Netherlands), Thousand Islands Records (Canada), Bearded Punk Records (Belgium) and Melodic Punk Style (Poland).

Phoenix, Arizona based punk rock label No Affiliation Records will be taking care of an exclusive CD and 7″ vinyl release in the USA this summer. Get your copy while they’re hot!

(record review)VAGALES-“Vagales”

South America just never ceases to amaze me with their rich and various punk hardcore scene. This time I listened to and reviewed the new record by Vagales.

cover

These guys hail from the town Cali in Colombia and play an energetic mix of melodic hardcore and punk. As I can understand this record is their debut album and it is awesome. The album contains 8 tracks. The vocals are angry but also melodic and just right for this kind of hardcore punk. If I must compare the music with someone then I would say that the guys remind me a bit of 88 Fingers Louie only a bit more angry. The lyrics are in Spanish, so I dont understand what they are singing about, but it sounds damn good. The choruses are anthemic and I think that the live shows of this band are awesome. This is a great record and one more proof how the underground network is invincible. Top songs: “Levantate”, “No Te Quiero”.
