(new single) ELM TREE CIRCLE released “The Lease” taken from their upcoming album “The Good Life”

ELM TREE CIRCLE is a four-piece Emo Pop-Punk band from Germany. Over the last few years, the band has been engaged in extensive touring playing numerous shows across Europe up to Asia and abroad, sharing the stage with such iconic acts as THE ATARIS, PEARS and SUCH GOLD. After a successful 2017 including tours through Australia, Japan, Europe and the UK the band is now looking forward to their most significant year so far.

Alongside the release of their first full length album The Good Life the band will for the first time embark on a tour featuring their full line-up, serving everyone, from English breakfast tea drinkers to Swiss fondue fanatics with an exquisite menu of handcrafted songs. They already unveiled their first single Feel The Burn taken from this upcoming album and now you can also listen to their brand-new single The Lease with their 360° music video.

Set to release on the 11th of May 2018 through KROD RECORDS, The Good Life is a lovely
piece of modern emo-punk.The band has evolved towards a style that inherits all the classic influences of their 2000s pop-punk heroes paired with a good touch of emotional lyrics, melancholic chords and distinct vocal lines that spin in your head after the first listen.

(record review)VersOver- “Hell’s Inc.” (Hell’s Inc. Records)

VersOver has been on the scene for more than 20 years now being formed in 1997. This Brasilian band released their new record and I reviewed it for this zine.

The new album contains 12 tracks of modern and melodic power metal. The production and the sound of the band is awesome. There are a lot of progressive metal influences in the song structures, and these guys really know how to handle their instruments. I loved the anthemic chorus of “Howl in Pain” and progressive music landscape of “Human Condition”. In their promosheet the guys say that they have been influenced with wide range of bands from Megadeth to Rush and it is true. The wide spectrum of influences only made the music more positive. Their music is somehow the amalgamation, the sum of their influences, but leaving a healthy dose of originality. Awesome album!

8,5/10

(news)Swedish Blackened Death metallers Night Crowned signs with Black Lion and present first song from their upcoming EP “Humanity Will Echo Out”

c1146cd5-55ce-45d8-b216-89acc1518a18In the frozen vasts of Europe’s northernmost realms, a new slithering seed is festering at the heart of the Swedish scene – NIGHT CROWNED. A spawn formed from an unholy communion between current and previous members of the underground elite such as  The Crown, Dark Funeral, Nightrage and Cipher system, this infestation is set to grow from a rumoured disease into a full-scale pandemic.

NIGHT CROWNED’s musical vision is as clear as it is putrid; a reawakening of sounds dormant from the most influential acts and masterpieces of the Scandinavian 90’s, although with all the advantages of a cutting edge, surgically precise production.

With a combined catalogue of over thirty full-length albums, this degenerate infant is procreated from seasoned and battle-hardened veterans, although with all the hunger that only such a gluttonous monster can possess.

There will be no warning. No antidote, and no remedy. At first you will feel nauseous, then your body will be covered in black boils, and finally both your mind and and matter will have been thoroughly infected by the blight that is – NIGHT CROWNED.
