Canadian label Thousand Islands Records, although small, continues to release excellent records by the awesome bands. This time, we listened and reviewed the new record by the Australian punk band The Shorts. Read the review!

The record contains 9 songs of melodic punk with hardcore and skatepunk influences. This record is very diverse. There are some reggae influences in “Lenny the Shark”. My personal favorites on the record are “I don´t know why I do this anymore” being superb fast skatepunk anthem with the lyrics I can relate to, the other being “Wall Street” with the unusual but fine melody in the chorus and mid paced rythm. I also love the fast punkrock hymn “Silo”. This record is another proof that Australian punkrock/hardcore scene never ceases to amaze.
