Guildford’s best-kept indie-punk secret, Wild Tales, released their first single Hourglass for your listening pleasure.

“This song is asking the listener to question reality and telling them to not let the small issues in life cause them stress,” said vocalist and guitarist Adam Rains,

“I love this track as it was one of the first we wrote as a band and lyrically it came together very naturally. I have attempted, as I’m sure many others have, to one of life’s great questions. Why do we exist?”

With a chorus hook that will haunt you in your sleep and a lyrical subject that all of us can relate to, Hourglass is set to make listeners fall in love and keep coming back for more.

Wild Tales fuse math-rock and indie influences with pop sensibilities and big choruses, to create a refreshing sound that’s both accessible and musically interesting. They’ll appeal to fans of early Thrice, Marmozets, Biffy Clyro or The XCERTS. Rooted in a close friendship, Wild Tales formed as a new creative outlet for past members of alt-rockers Trails and Atiptoe.

Hourglass is the first taste of their poppy, intricate take on melodic indie-punk. The video was created by Skyline Futures, which is the videography side-project of Lockjaw boss Rob Piper, which he runs with Freddie Cardew-Smith.

I love Canadian punk hardcore scene so much! So many awesome bands coming out, besides the old legendary bands, so many new and still unexplored music and awesome bands put out their records constantly and I really enjoy to discover new bands.

Colorsfade play melodic and fast, but very tight hardcore punk. This record contains 11 songs of highly contagious melodies, memorable choruses just made for singing along and jumping around at the gigs. The guitar work is awesome and there are so many beautiful hooks in the songs and I love every single minute of this album. There are couple of guest performances on the album like Vince from Our Darkest Days and Doowy from Down Memory Lane. The lyrics are pretty politically engaged and I love that because many bands discard that punk should be political at some times. This band managed to find a perfect mix between politics and personal. There are some songs that I must mention here that somehow stand out for me as the highlights of this album. Those are Take Your Time, Loaded For Peace and Frozen In Time. This is a very strong album and I reccomend thjs one to all of you who love your music fast and melodic.
