Primetime Failure are back! And they are back with a blast! Memory Lane is the title of the new record out with Uncle M. I listened and reviewed the new record for our zine.
This band is special in my heart because they remind me and take me back to the times when I was a little dreamy kid and listening to Primetime Failure takes me back to that innocent time. Why? Because they play excellent melodic punkrock in the vein of all the 90-ies bands from that time, yet with 21st century resolution, freshness and great songwriting. The new record contains 8 songs and I just can´t decide which one is better. For me the highlights are Brad which sounds a bit like Good Riddance and I had to listen to it over and over how good it is. Also, the title song is a masterpiece in melodic punk. Bricking The Lord is also one of my favorites. The vocals are harsh but melodic and fit perfectly with higher sung backing harmonies, so I love it. The songs are total energy, yet not fast, but the record does not get boring or repetitive in any way. Awesome stuff!
