Let us talk a bit about our own Croatian underground scene. Zayn from Bjelovar released their new e.p. as third part in their of their conceptual tetralogy called Monolit. I saw Zayn perform live twice in club called Prostor in my hometown and both times it was a great experience. These guys play a mixture of post metal and noise with some indie and post rock influences thrown in here and there. Usually I am not an avid fan of instrumental music, but this band is different, here you are taken on a voyage through music soundscapes and all three songs are different, like each one of them is a story for itself, telling us the listeners something that we must interpret ourselves the way we understand it. For me the best song on this e.p. is Lovely You having awesome electronic backgrounds to the music, like some haunted synth melody reminding me of an Argento soundtrack, or what Italian band Goblin did in some songs.
