(review) launch control-attention economy e.p.

lc_cover_04_final

Launch Control are coming from UK, Reading to be more exact and this is their brand new e.p. containing five songs.  The music of this band could be categorized as melodic punkrock with some pop punk influences, but with sociopolitical lyrics and sensitivity, bringing back to punkrock something incredibly missed in the last couple of years. These five songs are really fine fitting perfectly to the mood of the e.p. The themes are bigotry(Zombigots/Cult of Ignorance), religion(Marketing for Martyrs-my favorite on this record), economy and internet(Attention Economy-also my favorite song on the record) to political greed(Paper Tiger), the songs are cleverly written and I love how the smart use of the synth in some songs epmhasizes the overall almost etherial yet harsh vibe with nice vocals adding to the momentum. This is a real nice little e.p. and I can`t wait for the full length to arrive.
