More Information:

METAL VRAU channel on YouTube based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, founded in May 2018 by musicians, guitarists and longtime friends, Rafael Pacheco and Sandro “Murdok”, in order to enhance the style they love so much, Heavy Metal in all its aspects and subgenres, devoid of prejudice and with good doses of humor. The purpose of the channel is to present not only collaborative videos with great musicians from the Brazilian metal scene and pay homage to national and worldwide giants of Rock/Metal, but also ‘playthroughs’ of self made material from the duo and other bands, interviews with important personalities within the style, special participations, reviews and personal opinions about instruments, all very well produced and maintining respect and extremely good taste. Unfortunately, after three years on the channel, Sandro “Murdok” had to leave amicably to dedicate himself to other personal and professional projects, but Rafael Pacheco will continue with his firm and strong legacy!

Dutch melodic punk rockers Ink Bomb released new single!

188047720_163587892437577_885867972613150859_n

Dutch melodic punk band Ink Bomb releases their new single/video today: Dorothy Enters Technicolor (Bandcamp). In this feminist song not only the four band members themselves can be heard, but it also features the surprise guest vocals of Roos Centimane, known as vocalist for former punk-metal band Stark. The single is from Ink Bomb’s split release with No Breakfast Goodbye they’ll be releasing on June 18.

Guitarist and producer Quirijn Foeken: “We asked Roos Centimane to contribute because we are fans of her raw shouting vocal style as we know it from her former band Stark. Once in the studio, she came up with a more sensitive vocal line as well. That one fit much better with the song than what we first thought of!”

Ink Bomb makes a feminist statement with Dorothy Enters Technicolor, clearly recognizable in phrases like “Glass ceilings will not last” and “The patriarchy a thing of the past”. To reinforce this theme, only women appear in the music video.
Most of the women in the video either worked with the band or are close to the band in some other way. Bassist Arina Banga: “We shared the stage, they hosted our shows, we stayed with them, they made our artwork or they are a friend/partner. Moreover, for me it is special that band members from my former band Planet Eyelash also participated. With them I experienced my first band adventures.”

Dorothy Enters Technicolor is available on Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify and other streaming services.

Biography Ink Bomb
When the members of Dutch melodic punk rock band Ink Bomb stepped in their practice space for the first time in 2015, they never met before. Fast forward a few years later and the band toured multiple countries and released two EPs and their full-length debut album Fiction. When the pandemic hit the band menbers were forced to tap into their flexibility. They decided to write new material to release a split album with their friends of No Breakfast Goodbye. This split features all new material with the Ink Bomb trademark sound: fast, aggressive songs that might not always follow standard song structure, but always features great melodies with a healthy dose of melancholy. The band cannot wait to return to the stages in 2021!

* Releases: debut full-length Fiction (2019), EP Swim (2017), EP Invincible Summer (2016).* Tours in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, United Kingdom and Denmark.* Support slots: The Toy Dolls, SNFU, I Against I, Make War and Martha.* Five acoustic cover songs for different charities (yearly).

LYCANTHRO Debut Epic Power Ballad Video – Evangelion From New Album Out June 4th (Alone Records)!

Power/thrash metal act Lycanthro has a new album coming out this year and in true power metal fashion has an epic sweeping ballad out now to share with fans. The single comes with a lyric/ vocal playthrough video so listeners can sing and play along.

The writing process for the band is usually very singular, James Delbridge (vocals/guitars) writes all of the songs for Lycanthro, but the other members will always chime in with their ideas. In terms of how he writes songs, they usually start based around a lyrical concept and the music flows around that. He explains how “Evangelion” came to be:

“We felt as though this track would be a good addition to the album to diversify it even more. This song was a passion song for me as it took me a year to write it! Mainly because I wrote this song bit by bit while I wrote some of the other songs. Lyrically this song is based on the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” which is a show that is very near and dear to my heart. As for the music, there’s a few cool synth lines in the song that gives it an epic feel as well as one of the more melodic guitar solos on the album.”

From the get-go, the band knew this song would be perfect to close the album on an epic and triumphant note. It mixes intense melody within the layered, soaring vocal melodies, with heavy-hitting guitars akin to Rainbow or “Last in Line” era Dio. Listeners will marvel at the peaks and valleys that this epic track has to offer.

“Mark of the Wolf” covers several metal bases from power to thrash to prog and is recommended for fans of Judas Priest, Saxon, Blind Guardian, and Helloween.
