Pulley released new single from the forthcoming album!

The first single, “Golden Life,” fittingly titled “The Golden Life,” will be released digitally on April 21 to give fans of the former Fat Wreck and Epitaph band a taste of a new album that has it all!

Golden Life is an anthem to youth for vocalist Scott:

“I’m watching a generation of kids seemingly robbed of an experience. A life without easy access to good and bad. Much of what they’ve seen in the world has been negative, unimaginable terrorist attacks, war and violence, a division of people,” the singer and former professional baseball player said.

“As for music, our generation really had to earn it if we wanted to hear or see it properly. Technology has its good points, but it has taken away an experience that allowed for a deeper appreciation of life. The irony is that our generation is partially responsible for this platform,” he continues to explain what the song is about.

Pre-sales for Pulley – The Golden Life will begin on April 25, 2022.

As for how the new album came about, Scott Radinsky explains, “The writing process for this album was a little different because of the pandemic. When everyone was out of work at the beginning, we decided to write new material, we had a lot of time to devote to the music and were able to flesh out the songs until we felt they were ready.”

In 2021, both an EP of four Pulley classics made into acoustic tracks and the compilation “Encore” were released.

“The difference between this and the acoustic album is that everyone contributed here and the songs were all new, whereas the acoustic album was just a different interpretation of the music that had already been released,” Scott says

“We’re all proud of how these songs turned out musically and sonically and can’t wait to play them live and share them with everyone.”

Canadian punk rockers Far From Heroes released new single!

Far From Heroes started in 2000, in Sudbury, Ontario. They toured coast to coast in Canada a dozen times, had a development deal with Sony Music Canada, a video on regular rotation on Much Music and released 2 Eps with Spawner Records out of Langley BC and one independent full length. Played 1000s of shows opening for countless legendary punk rock/hardcore/emo bands throughout the early 2000s

After disbanding in 2005, Lee and Jer went on to start Kansas City Shuffle and Theo and Scott went on to join The Black Maria and released a full length with Victory Records.

Lee and Scott have never stopped writing together, always sharing music back and forth. This set of songs for the EP was a throw back to the pop punk they used to love to write and perform..They decided to capture the nostalgia for the cover art, using old flyers and photos of ourselves scattered on the floor of a garage after a box of memories fell over.

(review) Drone Hunter – In Gear

Our Croatian underground scene just thrives and pulsates with great bands and releases and I remember the first time I saw Drone Hunter from neighbouring Varaždin town. It was an open air gig organized by members of MC Miners from Varaždin behind one shopping mall with Đubrivo from Split and some other bands and I immediately fell in love with Drone Hunter´s music. Later on my band played a house gig in Varaždin in a garage of one guy´s home and it was fantastic. I interviewed the guys for this zine and reviewed earlier releases. Now, it is time for a new e.p. This one contains 5 songs. Although Drone Hunter are an instrumental band and I am not an avid fan of bands without vocals, this one is so good that vocals are not needed, the instruments do the talking. Songs are so well written that they tell a story. The music of Drone Hunter is hard to categorize, but I will try. It is a mixture of doom, stoner, sludge, hard rock and atmospheric post rock. But, what brought more joy to this heart are some faster, almost thrash metal parts of the songs Cabin Fever and The Dark Den Brought Me Here. Production on this e.p. is so strong and great, courtesy of Tompa at e-minor studio in Varaždin, this dude does great job with many bands from this scene here up north. Anyway, if you like atmosphere, harsh riffs, aggression, emotions, check out Drone Hunter and support the scene.
