When the jack-of-all-trades Rogga Johansson gets ready to launch a new project, you can be sure to deal with the very essence of Swedish death metal. With ASTROPHYTE, the Swedish together with Fredrik Petersson is now preparing to send his next horse into the race with the new album ‘2192′. Originally planned for May, the full-length, which is based on the role-playing game Mutant Chronicles World, will finally see the light of day on the 30th of June. With a big news: with Indii Hofvander, who already had a guest appearance on the Furnace album ‘Stellarum‘, a haunting, almost pleading, female voice characterises large parts of the music – and thus, besides Mike Hubrovcak‘s growls, contributes significantly to the oppressive atmosphere of the album. You can expect 9 songs, shaped by the typical Nordic death metal of the ’90s. Stay tuned!
