Marvel movies continue their vision in post Avengers phase with new storyline and new characters continuing their missions and spectacular action. Ant-Man was always dear to my heart, I find the first movie one of the best Marvel movies I have watched until now. This is third installment of Ant-Man’s adventures although he appeared in Avengers and other movies too because of the multiverse.
This one starts all beautiful, Scott Lang aka Ant-Man(Paul Rudd) wrote a book about his adventures, he is happy with Hope(Evangeline Lilly), and her parents original Ant-Man dr Hank Pym(Michael Douglas) and Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), but also with his rebellious daughter Cassie(Kathryn Newton), but the whole family ends in Quantum Realm by accident. There they find out that things were not as Janet told them, and they join the rebels to bring down the evil empire of Kang(excellent Jonathan Majors as villain). There they also encounter plethora of new characters like Lord Krylar(Bill Murray), M.O.D.O.K.(Corey Stoll) and many more.
This adventure reminded me lot more of Guardians of Galaxy than on average Marvel movies, but me being kind of sci fi opera freak, I found lots of Star Wars parallels in this one, but watch the movie, maybe it is only me wishing to be Star Wars, but I actually found this one pretty entertaining, action filled and lots of fun to watch, continuing me being fan of Marvel but also DC movies too. Kang is charismatic new villain, of whom we hear for the first time, and he will return in other adventures soon, him being sinister and epic emperor of the Quantum Realm and timeline folder and also Avengers killer. Paul Rudd is, I can’t help myself, so great and I have so much heart for him being Scott Lang, making him one of my favorite Marvel characters. I can’t wait for the continuation of this new storyline(s), because they are fresh and show that the franchise did not die after the ending of Avengers.
Acting: 8/10 axes – Cool and great line-ip
Overall conclusion: 7,5/10 axes – action packed, good story and fun to watch!
