Finnish melodic metal band Death’s-Head and the Space Allusion is set to release their second album LUC-II-FARUL in November 17th 2023. Now the final single “The Year of The Sacred” is released on music services.

Guitarist Antza Talala comments:

The Year of The Sacred is a bit more futuristic piece. It has a large doze of sequencers and keyboards, but it fits well into the album.

The lyrics describe Earth as a red ball in the mouths of the politicians, and when politics have become a part of the entertainment industry and popular culture, it’s really time to crack whips at them.

But will there be a year, when significantly more wise visitors from another dimension will come and kick this planet back on track?

BIOGRAPHY:

DEATH’S-HEAD AND THE SPACE ALLUSION, a band founded in 2016 in Oulu, Finland, is a combination of melodies, metal and clean vocals. The band released their debut album ‘The Counterbalance‘ in 2019 and now they are ready to release their second album! A few singles from the album will be released before people can listen to the full album.

This originally named band has an interesting way of infusing their music with melodies, metal and the raging spirit of rock with its guitar solos, and all this with a progressive touch.

Familiar atmospheres and vibes from the 80’s can be heard in their music as well, which come from a large quantity of keyboards in their songs.

The band has members from several known bands including To/Die/ForBurning PointAntipope and Downstone.

DEATH’S-HEAD AND THE SPACE ALLUSION is a great, new kind of a modern sounding band where bold influences from the 80’s can be heard. This excellent metal palette is brilliantly brought forward with ’The Counterbalance’ debut album. The upcoming second album will continue on the same path!

Line-up:

Valtteri Virolainen – vocals

Antza Talala – guitars

Aleksi Mäkelä – guitars

Juho Rikberg – bass

Jussi Ontero – drums

Melancholic Rock band Black Dreams from Finland releases new 2 song EP “Disguised as Holiness”!

Photo: Black Dreams

Finnish melancholic rock and heavy metal band Black Dreams has released new two track EP “Disguised as Holiness”. The second track on the release is called “We Embrace the Night”.

“The song is about how a lot of evil has been done in the name of different religions over the centuries. Your religion and your holy book give permission to kill non-believers. Which is really sick. The song has really heavy basses and guitars. There is also a touch of blues at the end of the song.” backgrounds the singer Juha Kraapo.

Black Dreams was founded in Rauma, Finland in 2015. The band got the nickname The Masters of Melancholy by the British music media. That describes the band’s music and essence well. They perform gloomy and desperate music. The band has been influenced by, among others, Danzig, Black Sabbath and Type O Negative.

Belgian modern thrash metal outfit PRIMAL CREATION releases new single…..!!!

Photography by Hans Mattheeuws

The song aptly titled “Not In My Backyard” was recorded and mixed by Francis Snebbout at Oakwood Recording Studio and mixed by Alan Douches at West West Side Music, NY. Their brand new track is accompanied by a video, shot and edited by Yarne Heylen (Carnation) at Project Zero Studio. The artwork was created by Thijs De Rijcke.

“Not In My Backyard” is a 4-minute focused punch in the face while featuring their by now trademark catchy hooks. It’s a track written and recorded to get moshpits going at Primal Creation live shows!

Bassplayer Ewoud comments: this song feels like another step forward in our development as a band. We really found a good flow as a band while writing and it shows. I’m psyched to bring this banger to the stage!

Frontman Koen adds: drawing from the themes of our previous releases, Not In My Backyard really is about the human condition. It’s an observation of today’s society, where lack of longterm visions and minimal effort seem to be the norm. Musically we put the riffs on the forefront, but there’s also some changes in tempo and a tasty solo by Ruben. All the while invoking moshpit frenzy, not holding back on the focused aggression. Last but not least, I feel that the artwork and the video really complement the atmosphere, sound and theme of the song!

Highlights for Primal Creation up until now:

  • Wacken Open Air 2019
  • Supports for the likes of Warbringer, D.R.I., Skeletonwitch and Evil Invaders
  • Both studio-albums – Demockracy (2017) and News Feed (2021) – were well-received in the metal underground
