THE HAPTICS: Explores Toxic Relationships in Their Newest Single & Video ‘Mouse’

“Mouse” is at heart a song about toxic relationships and the power plays that accompany them. It explores the topics of boundaries, consent, and commitment. It also posits a strong opinion that one should fight back against the bonds that hold, and break them. It’s not just romantic relationships it describes – familial relationships can often have an edge to them that is difficult to maneuver as well.

There’s a give and take that becomes second-nature to either party after a time. When you’re committed to preserving the relationship, you have to work to control the anger that arises from time to time. This recognition of inner violence is a recurring theme in a few of our songs. It’s our attempt to describe that wild feeling you feel: a sort of boundless energy and rage that makes you fly off the wall. Any kind of relationship involves power dynamics, some more pleasurable than others.

Mouse explores the what-ifs: what if you enjoy the toxicity? What if you dive into that anger? What if, in some way, you need that challenge in your life? This is our tribute to that feeling.

My Position – “Fly Away” new song and music video, presave now!

Native to South Florida, now living in North Carolina, Joe Marks has grown up with musicianship around him his entire life. Starting with forming a band with his brothers straight out of high school, he has recorded, performed, and collaborated on many projects from his own YouTube covers, to working with bands/artists such as Pinnacle SoulAmirwaveChris OdiumPolar NightPosthouse Tuomi, Adrien Gonzales & Dayshell.

In 2019, he created a project of a fusion of electronic genres with his friend Christian Sandoval, called Lucent Veil.
However, his long-time desire to work on electronic rock music along with the guidance of his friend, Shayley Bourget of Dayshell, led to the creation of his latest venture,
My Position.

Highly influenced by the sounds of some of his favorite artists, including Dayshell, Celldweller, and Northlane, the musical direction of his debut self-titled EP released in 2021 is akin to nu-metal with a modern low-toned twist, flavored with electronic elements.

Joe tends to write lyrics that draw from the human condition allowing listeners to relate to topics or thoughts they may be going through themselves. Joe continues to collaborate with different artists, working as much as he can on new material.

The new single from My Position, ‘Fly Away,‘ will be available on November 24th, featuring Adrien Gonzales.

Second To Sun – released Official Live Video from their upcoming live album

Introducing the official live video recording from the band’s performance at the Dark Waters Festival. It’s a direct, multi-channel recording from the mixing console, all mixed and mastered at Blastbeard Sound.

“With pride, we present to you the first live album by Second To Sun, recorded at three different shows over the past three years.

Each of the three parts of the album consists of three different recording states: live, raw, and pure chaos. The live recording is a high-quality mixed and mastered version, the raw one is a direct feed from the soundboard during caught the show, and the third, the orthodox one, for the true connoisseurs of raw black metal, is captured on a handheld recorder right at the center of the stage during the performance.

This conceptual creation comes with incredible bonuses: every purchaser of the digital release or CD (coming soon) on Bandcamp will receive access to a video version of the band’s performance at the Dark Waters festival. It marks the only time in the band’s history that we played aboard an actual ship”
