Brazilian metal powerhouse ARMORED DAWN is back with a vengeance, releasing their latest single and accompanying music video, “Enough.” The band’s relentless commitment to delivering powerful and impactful metal experiences is evident in this final single off of their newly released album, Brand New Way.

“Enough” is a sonic declaration of resilience and strength, a metal anthem that resonates with the band’s signature sound while exploring new dimensions. With an unwavering commitment to delivering epic and anthemic metal, ARMORED DAWN has crafted an album in Brand New Way that seamlessly blends their trademark sound with innovative elements, taking listeners on a sonic journey through intricate melodies, thunderous rhythms, and thought-provoking lyrics. Recorded at Dharma Studios, in São Paulo, Brand New Way was produced by renowned musicians and producers Rodrigo Oliveira and Heros Trench–the latter being the band’s bassist and veteran producer with more than 200 bands and a Latin Grammy on his resume. Mixing was handled by Chris Lord Alge (MUSE, GREEN DAY, NICKLEBACK)–with mastering by Ted Jensen (BRING ME THE HORIZON, EVANESCENCE, METALLICA).

Five of the 10 tracks were previously released, with the acoustic ballad “Stronger Together” unveiled during the pandemic, with subsequent singles “S.O.S.”, “Tides”, “Brand New Way”, and “No Regrets” preparing the ground for the new album, all of which were met with both fan and critical acclamation. Innovating expansively, the band creates songs with different themes from each other, but always addressing feelings that are inescapable experiences of human life, spanning depression, melancholy, optimism, friendship, anger, and more.

ARMORED DAWN’s current lineup includes Eduardo Parras (vocals), Tiago de Moura and Timo Kaarkoski (guitars), Heros Trench (bass), Rafael Agostino (keyboards) and Chris Oliveira (drums).

ARMORED DAWN emerged in 2014 and quickly became dominant in the Brazilian metal scene. After all, there were tours and shows alongside great bands like SAXON, MEGADETH, SCORPIONS, WHITESNAKE, EUROPE, HAMMERFALL, RHAPSODY, FATES WARNIND, SABATON and TARJA.

The first two albums, Power of Warrior (2016) and Barbarians in Black (2018), were produced by big names Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, JORN), Bruno Agra (WE ARE HARLOT) and Kato Khandwala (THE PRETTY RECKLESS, PAPA RPACH). The third album, Viking Zombie, was produced, mixed and mastered by Rodrigo Oliveira and Heros Trench.

Presenting a sophisticated and versatile metal, the group collects great works in videos, such as “Sail Away”, which had a cinematic overproduction, as well as “Beware of the Dragon”, exhibited in all cinemas in Brazil during the trailers for the film Aquaman in 2018. In turn, “Ragnarok” and “Animal Uncaged” (recorded at the Rockfest Festival, at Allianz Parque, São Paulo, when they played to around 37 thousand people) have millions of views on YouTube.

Over October 2023, the band performed five times in Argentina, and also played at the Mexican festival Hell & Heaven in the beginning of November.

Niki B is a Greek/Welsh guitarist, vocalist and music producer who specializes in the genre of Rock & Metal.

Born in 1996 in Cardiff(UK) and raised on the Greek Island of Thassos, at the age of 18 he decided to move permanently to London(UK) to follow his dream of becoming a professional guitarist. Not only did he achieve a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and a Masters Degree in Music Business Management & Artist Development from the University of West London, but he also formed his UK based metal band Enterfire. 

After composing, recording and producing the bands full length album titled Slave Of Time and performing in venues within the UK and EU, Niki B decided to form a solo project under the name NIKI B where he will release singles and albums of a different character. 

On the 25th of November 2023 the first music video/single, titled Dawning, brings this new project to life. 

The new release is a start of a flow of material which will result in a full length album.

Inevitably, the thrash batch had to come, so we’re announcing seven bands of the American wave. Four big names who have been involved in the formation of this genre will come from California – TESTAMENT, EXODUS, ARMORED SAINT and SADUS. The younger blood will be represented by Colorado’s HAVOK, multi-instrumentalist Joel Grind’s TOXIC HOLOCAUST and Czech-American LAID TO WASTE.

TESTAMENT’s legacy goes beyond its music. This band has influenced countless others, not only in the thrash metal genre. And they’re not just a thrash legend. Aside from the fact that they can write just about any song to include a strong moment, melody, and have a solid structure, they have Chuck Billy behind the microphone. That is to say, Mr. Singer, who, when he gets into it, rips the first layer off the road, and conversely, when he savors the tone, melts the whipped cream in the whole candy store. There aren’t many singers like him on the planet.

EXODUS will also bring their uncompromising sound and unwavering dedication to thrash metal. These pioneers of the thrash metal genre formed alongside Testament and other legendary bands from The Big Four of thrash. In 1985, EXODUS released their debut album “Bonded by Blood”, which is considered a classic of the thrash metal genre. Their most recent album to date, “Persona Non Grata”, was released by these masters of their craft in 2021. The album deals mainly with the theme of the degradation of modern society and spares no expense with its characteristic fast guitar riffs and intricate guitar solos.

Thrash brotherhood ARMORED SAINT have eight studio albums to date. The latest, “Punching the Sky” (2020), proves bassist Joey Vera’s words that ARMORED SAINT want to make “very good music”. In their 40+ years of existence, the band has reached a comfort zone where they can now be themselves, and that brings them well-deserved musical freedom. A band that has been through the entire history of the genre, fronted by John Bush (who was also in Anthrax for a number of years) will bring their combination of classic metal elements with contemporary influences to Brutal Assault creating a powerful and progressive sound.

The Californian foursome will be completed by SADUS with their thrash-driven technical death metal and they will play on Brutal Assault for the first time in fifteen years. The band is currently made up of the duo Darren Travis and Jon Allen, and after sixteen years they make a triumphant return with their sixth studio album “The Shadow Inside”. The album was released in November 2023 and deals with the theme of the inner entity that drives human actions. Musically, the duality of the cosmic demonic and the tormented soul is thus intertwined. It explores life choices and the responsibility one must take for their actions in order to unlock one’s full potential in life.

TOXIC HOLOCAUST will hit the stage with a sharp thrash ride. This band with a DIY approach was formed in 1999 when multi-instrumentalist and driving force Joel Grind combined his love of classic punk and metal into his ideal band. Like his influences – Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones – TOXIC HOLOCAUST is characterized by fiery riffs, aggressive vocals, and a fixation on human evil and a post-apocalyptic world.

Colorado’s HAVOK undoubtedly belong to the top of the thrash metal scene. With their latest album “V” (2020), they follow up the successful “Confirmicide” (2017), pushing themselves further, while staying true to their thrash roots. They have achieved sophisticated, razor-sharp compositions with a clear and full sound with massive bottom notes, and peer through them into the soul of our “post-factual” times.

Last but not least, this packed line-up will be completed by the only band that is “not purely American”, the Czech-American LAID TO WASTE playing traditional thrash combined with speed metal. Despite line-up changes and a slowdown in activity, the band has regained momentum in 2021 with new drummer Adam Nesvorny. They are currently working on their third album, which is scheduled for release in late 2023 – and promises music that will get you into a brutal mosh.
