Italian alternative metal act Awake For Days is proud to announce the release of their new single “Betrayed”, with Cristian Machado (ex Ill Niño, Lions At The Gate) as special guest. Recorded at FuelMusic Studio in Los Angeles and produced by Eddy Cavazza for Silent Ghost International, the track is accompanied by a video directed by Sno Drake – Design & Media. About the collaboration with Machado their drummer Andrew says: “I still remember our state of mind: We had those days off and we wanted to take the chance to create something cool! We had the opportunity to meet Cristian and do this featuring with him. I immediately saw that he was a very humble and helpful person and at the same time I thought: ‘Damn, I listened to this guy sing in Ill Nino when I was just a kid. And now, I’m here, in the studio with him recording!’ It was so cool! I’m truly honored to have had the chance to work with him and can’t wait for the song to come out and share it with all our fans”.  

“Recording with Cristian was really easy and natural” continue the bassist Nic “Everything happened in few days thanks to the mediation of Addasi, our mutual friend at FuelMusic Studio in LA. Machado is a giant but with us he’s been extremely kind and helpful, a really humble person. His voice takes our single ‘Betrayed’ to a next level of sonic aggressiveness, and the Hell & Heaven festival is the PERFECT place to present this song to our audience. We are excited and determined to enjoy every moment of this crazy weekend together with the bands that have inspired us and that we have so far dreamed of meeting!”. 

And as mentioned by the artist, the band will be part of Hell & Heaven Festival on November 4th, the most important metal/alternative festival in Mexico with Slipknot, Muse and Guns’n’Roses as headliner: “Our next stop will be the Hell&Heaven fest in Mexico, one of the greatest metal festivals of all times and for us to have the opportunity to share the stage with huge bands like Slipknot, Muse and Guns & Roses is truly a dream come true, specially for four guys coming from the other side of the World! Awake For Days (also abbreviated as AFD), is a Sardinian Alternative Metal band from Nuoro, founded in 2013 by lead vocalist Lukas Moore. With a style that includes alternative metal, groove metal and metalcore in its DNA, the band has released 2 full-length, “Magnificent Disorder” and “Multiverse”. With the second LP, the band’s growth veers towards a more reflective American alt/metal-oriented sound. About ellakate: Ella Greenbaum, artistically known as ellakate, is an alternative pop singer-songwriter born, raised, and based in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up with musical parents and a knack for creating and performing, ellakate found a passion for music that went beyond forcing her brothers to listen to her melodies as a child. “When my dad first explained what the song ‘Brandy’ by Looking Glass was about, I discovered the magic of storytelling in songwriting.
