Durkmoose combines the brooding sounds of 90s grunge with contemporary metal on “Neurilemma”

Durkmoose is a hard rock duo based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, combining the brooding sounds of 90s grunge rock with an edge of contemporary metal, the duo shares the latest release “Neurilemma”.

Formed in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a couple of years ago by T. Hooker and A. Pickett, in their first recordings they have left a deep mark due to the heaviness of the sound of their steps. Their debut EP Hill Controlled came out in 2020. It features five instrumental songs with a cinematic feel and unity of theme, as if they were soundtrack to a dark drama set in the desert.

Between post-rock and post-metal, this pair of guys have composed pieces that are as titanic as they are cinematic, and they also build sequences that take us to the edge of an abyss near the end of the world.

The entire work is instrumental, but it has the potential to transmit so many things to us, so many emotions… There is no better way than to enter the trance of this galvanic energy than with your eyes closed and your mind wide open to the possibilities. The rest, leave it to them.

Somebody’s Hero “Walk Away” drops 11/10 ! For fans of Judas Priest, Queensryche & Disturbed

Florida-Based Progressive Rock Veteran’s recognize the concert venues, promoters, booking agents and their patrons, and the appreciated accolades and respect shared from four of our rock heroes….

Bobby Hamble (Biohazard) “You guys are a big band on a small stage.”

Kenny “Rhino” Earl (Manowar, Angels of Babylon) “They have these very thought-provoking lyrics with creative and moving melodies and at the same time they can pound your skull in with their crushing true metal sound.”

Tim “Ratchet” Starace (YYNOT) “They are the Honey badgers of the metal scene. They do what they were born to do and that makes it real.”

Dave Pastorius (Pat Travers Band, Tech N9ne) “They are one of the best acts I have seen international or national and wish them nothing but the best.”

Somebody’s Hero was conceived in 2020 by Palm Bay Florida guitarist Steve Harvey, (Chokehold, Grumpy, Who Was I) a veteran of the Florida concert scene for the last three decades. Steve has shared the stage with Godsmack, Sevendust, Exodus, Arch Enemy and Overkill to name a few. Steve has traveled as far as Slovenia’s Metal Camp and Magic Circle where the audiences surpassed 30,000 attendees. Somebody’s Hero is in tribute to his father, Michael Edward Harvey.

Joined by his longtime bandmate from Who Was I, vocalist Darin Foxx, who has opened for Fear Factory, DevilDriver, LA Guns, Hed PE and Drowning Pool to name a few. The duo offers; “Our conception in developing Somebody’s Hero was to deliver to our concert venues what they want, need and deserve. Increased attendance, professional accountability, reliability and a satisfied audience wanting more. At this point as musicians our journey is transforming the last 30 years of what we selfishly and recklessly indulged in and forge something that counts for all involved. From the promotion and production of the show to making the gig meaningful and rewarding to those who are in attendance. These venues trust in us as well as their paying guests and as a band we are obligated to deliver every extraordinary night we have onstage. Our band is appreciative to everyone that affords us a chance to continue to bring our artistry to the stage”.

Bassist, Rod Bobo (Vertebreaker) studied under Beaver Felton (Super Chops). Rod is instrumental in the dynamic of the band’s song writing and identity. He is the grounding rod that gives the band the faith and desire needed to continue this journey. Rob has shared the stage with Steel Panther, Saliva and Saving Abel to name a few. Rod has worked under the guidance of Brett Hestla (Creed, Virgos Melot, Dark New Day and founder of the Orlando independent record label Silent Majority.

Percussionist, Marshal Ostovich (Screaming Distance, Modern Man) started behind the drums at eight years of age wanting to be the next Peter Criss from KISS. Marshal has shared the stage with Pat Travers, Michael Schenker Group, Foghat, Marshall Tucker Band and Atlanta Rhythm Section to name a few. His colossal and cohesive rhythm brings dominion to our sound and who we strive to be as a rock outfit. We welcome the privilege to build our alliances with new venues and the opportunity to play for their patrons bringing a dynamite performance. We pay tribute through our music to “Our Heroes” Fates Warning, Queensryche, Dokken and Judas Priest.
