In this new musical offering from alternative rock act Blacktoothed, listeners are taken on a poignant journey through the highs and lows of chasing after one’s dreams. The new single magnificently intertwines melodic grace with profound lyrics that lay bare one’s soul.

‘Carried Away’ eloquently expresses the dichotomy of time – a force that both propels dreams forward and serves as a reminder of the hurdles that yet lay ahead. Each note, each lyric, invites listeners into a world where passion meets obstacle, and dreams are both a source of inspiration and a wellspring of tumultuous emotions. In the haunting refrains of ‘Carried Away’, blacktoothed provide not just a melody, but an empathetic voice to the silent struggles that echo in the hearts of dreamers worldwide.

Guitarist Mathilde comments on the new track: “Ladies and gentlemen, whilst listening to our latest release, let yourself get carried away by the highest note ever to come out of the vocal chords of a male person at Sawdust Recordings, according to our dear producer Christoph Wieczorek. Damn, Henni was hitting that g on the last chorus note like a pro!”

The band’s latest album JULI was created in collaboration with the producing team of Sawdust Recordings (Christoph Wieczorek & Julian Breucker) and shows that Blacktoothed have narrowed their sound and found their musical style.

Droïd Fantôm ‘Gelled Water’ (from Flèche’s Singer/Guitarist) | First Single (Rock, Paris – France)!

Mickael Montaroux’s (Flèche) new project and first single ‘Gelled Water

Album ‘Emptiness Takes Time‘ to come this 1st December, 2023.

Droïd Fantôm is the solo project of Mickael Montaroux (singer/guitarist with Flèche). Following Flèche’s hiatus after their last album ‘Do Not Return Fire‘, Mickael wrote a lot of songs in his head and decided to embark on a personal musical project on his own. To make a greater impact on the album, Loic Salmon (Flèche’s drummer) helped him play drums in the studio.

Emptiness Takes Time is Droïd Fantöm’s debut album. This album was composed and recorded at home, alone, with the exception of the drums and a few overdubs with Alexandre Mazarguil at Studio UFO. The album is clearly influenced by the ’90s indie scene, from grunge to shoegaze, with a touch of emo: clean versus heavy choruses and surprising breaks….

With plenty of fuzz (never enough fuzz on the chorus…)! Simple, direct and sincere. Mastering was done by Thibauld Chaumont at Deviant LAB.

About Gelled Water:
Gelled Water is about that feeling when someone is gone… maybe you have wasted your time when this person was here. It’s about living without thinking about tomorrow, giving love without knowing you’re giving this love. It’s about being sad with no regrets. It’s about life.

(review) CARNATION – ‘Cursed Mortality'(Season Of Mist)

Here is the third full length opus by Belgium’s CARNATION. This band plays old school death metal mayhem and this opus contains eight songs of carnage done by European school of death metal with chainsaw guitars, almost d-beat drumming and some really nice hooks and melodies thrown here and there among the songs structures. Vocals are brutal but not too brutal, so they fit perfectly to the songs because you can understand some stuff being sung about and you just must feel the energy of this album, how good it is, with almost crusty anthems like excellent ‘Maruta’. There are also clean vocals on ‘Replicant’ which show how varied this band is, not just mere clone of glorious times back in the day. My personal favorites on this death metal gem are epic title song, above mentioned ‘Replicant’ and ‘Metropolis’. Go get this one if you are a fan of Euro old school of death metal with blast beats and crushing brutality, but also melody.
