It is with immense excitement that we announce the collaboration between the remarkable Italian/Brazilian folk artist Amanda Gonsales and Wormholedeath. The partnership is set to rekindle the magic of Amanda’s enchanting EP, “Sacro,” with a scheduled re-release on December 22, 2023.

Amanda Gonsales is renowned for her enchanting and mystical musical creations, seamlessly blending in elements in the vein of some Wardruna, all sung in her native Portuguese. Her EP “Sacro” was released in 2019. The EP’s success paved the way for two remarkable tours across Portugal in 2021, gracing numerous festivals and concert halls.

Amanda’s artistic expression transcends conventional boundaries, as she invites her audience to embark on a multisensory journey through sound and stage performance, transporting them to realms beyond the ordinary fabric of space and time.

In Amanda’s words, “Talk about ‘Sacro’ is always a great challenge. At the same time that I seem to have so much to say about this album, it seems words will never be enough to express what this work really means to me.” Her artistic journey began very early, leading her to this crucial point in her career – the release of their first EP. It was during her time in Évora, Portugal, that the seeds of “Sacro” began to take root.The encounter with the historic city – with so many layers of time and apparent civilizations that take us to other cultures, and put it in contact with the dimension of memory and imagination – is necessary for the artist’s work. So, the crossing of personal memories with historical memories of the city resonated with her the need to talk about aspects of the place that the heritage does not highlight – the city’s wounds – in this case, the Inquisition.With influences from Brazilian Popular Music, Iberian, Scandinavian, and Arabic Folk Music, and medieval Sacred Music, Amanda and her music producer patiently crafted the songs over many months. The result is “Sacro,” a work that transforms the listener through rich, evocative landscapes, connecting him with hidden aspects of himself. The EP features a talented ensemble of musicians, including Acauan Normanton, Marina Gama, Catarina Schmitt, Pedro Bortolin, Natália Schneck, Clara Kok, Bruno Gazoni, Tarcísio Barsalini, Matheus Vazquez, and Rafael Garcia, showcasing a diverse range of instruments and sounds that complement Amanda’s unique style.

Munich-based CADET CARTER are back with “Lift Me Up” after a very successful year of touring. The band around Welsh lead singer Nick has signed their new songs to SBÄM Records and closes the year with their more than catchy new single.

With artists like Machine Gun Kelly, Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne dominating the mainstream charts (again!),Pop Punk and Emo music has seen a remarkable resurgence over the past year. While CADET CARTER consider themselves very much part of this genre, their sound is much closer to the likes of Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday than it is to the aforementioned.

The Munich-based band, fronted by Welsh lead singer Nick Sauter, has made quite an impact on the European music scene since starting out in late 2017. Their 2020 album Perceptions made it to #14 on the European Alternative Rock chart, and before the pandemic stopped all touring, the band played a ton of shows supporting artists like Touché Amoré, The Dangerous Summer, Stand Atlantic and As December Falls. In 2022, the band released another album entitled Anthems For The Weak to great reviews before embarking on their first-ever headline tour, playing highly successful shows throughout Europe and the UK.

CADET CARTER’s brand-new album Self-Maintenance, theirfirst release with Austria-based Punk Rocklabel SBÄM Records, is a collection of songs bursting with catchy melodies, clever arrangements,and heartfelt lyrics. “All these songs are like little odes to taking care of yourself and focusing on what’s goodin life rather than letting the more gloomy side of your character win“, says Nick. “Many of these songs areabout keeping yourself together and the mundane activities we do to keep ourselves alive and functionadequately in society. I think it’s something not only I but many people struggle with, so we decided to writesome songs about it.“

Lead single LIFT ME UP is as catchy as they come while its lyrics are a not-so-gentle reminder to focus onthe good, even if that means having to leave your comfort zone. STRANGERS deals with feelings ofloneliness in relationships, and LET IT GO is the soundtrack to a new beginning. In order to expand theirmusical horizons, CADET CARTER also got some well-known vocalists to sing on the record: Have Mercy’sBrian Swindle features on TIGHTROPE, while Kayleigh Goldsworthy lends her unique voice to MYFAVOURITE PLACE.

„We are so incredibly proud of this record“, says Nick. „I think we were able to develop a real sound of our own on this album, which is crazy when you think about it. The musical genre we’re in has seen so many different takes and incarnations over the past decades. One might think everything has been said and done here, but I believe Self-Maintenance is proof that that’s not true at all. I am so proud we were able to still add something new to that sort of sound. It’s such a great thing we managed to pull that off. “Self-Maintenance will be released April 12, 2024, through SBÄM Records.

Vinko Barić, autor priznate enciklopedije Hrvatski punk i novi val 1976-1987, izdao je novu knjigu – Diskografija ex Yu punka i novog vala.

Zagrebčka pomocija nove enciklopedije održat će
u srijedu 29. studenog u 18h u glazbenoj knjižari Rockmark.
S autorom će razgovarati istaknuti novinar i rock kritičar Bojan Mušćet.

Bogato opremljena enciklopedija velikog formata na 235 stranica u boji donosi diskografski pregled s biografijama preko 440 bendova
i s omotima preko 650 LP albuma i singlova. 

Rezultat je to gotovo dvogodišnjeg rada autora koji je popisao sve od opskurnih hardcore punk grupa koje su imale po jednu do dvije pjesme na nekoj malotiražnoj kazetnoj kompilaciji pa do onih najvećih i diskografski najaktivnijih.

Diskografija ex Yu punka i novog vala – Po prvi put cjelokupni jugoslavenski punk i novi val sa iscrpnim diskografijama i kraćim biografijama  bendova. Svi omoti LP-a, CD-a, audio kazeta i singlova reproducirani su u boji.
