Tomy Laisto a musician from bands like Hateform, Pain Confessor, Mors Principium Est, Omnium Gatherum and Arc Spectra. He is about to release first full length album as a solo artist with his own name. First single from the album “This Summer” is now released on music services.

Tomy backgrounds the song:

“The song came about on a august evening on my terrace when i felt the changing of season in the air from summer to fall. You can sense it somehow. It is about ending of a strained relationship, knowing what is about to come is inevitable and just knowing it the same way you know the season will come to an end.”

The single is including guest appearances by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo, Alice Cooper, Planet X, Black Country Communion, Yngwie Malmsteen) and Christian Määttä (Arc Spectra).

“Production-wise ,after a couple fortunate events, i was able to get Mr. Derek Sherinian to handle all the keyboard duties on “This Summer”. He really played a tremendous role on how the song came to be, not forgetting to mention Christian Määttä , who played drums on the song! If you listen closely, you can hear some backing vocals provided by my daughter Emma, who is showing signs of becoming an artist in the future!” Tomy Laisto continues.

Finnish melodic and progressive metal band Notio is set to release their second studio album Worldview on March 8th 2024 via Inverse Records. The second single ‘Curtain Of Ignorance’ is released today and it’s available on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/notio-curtain 
 

Albert Olli comments:
“This is the heaviest song on the album. It is also the heaviest song I’ve written so far. The chorus turned out to be quite big. In overall, this was the most challenging song on the album. Yet it ended up as the second single. Lyrically this song is about accepting one’s mortality.”
 

BIOGRAPHY:
Notio is a solo project founded by Albert Olli in a small town of Heinola, Finland (2015). The music combines elements from melodic metal and alternative metal mixed with progressive song structures, creating an unique listening experience.
 

Notio’s first release The Real Reason EPwas published 11th of January 2016. The next release of the project, Alive Again MCD was published in 21st of April 2017, and it got good reviews in Finnish music media.

The ambitious debut album Lucid Dreams For Sale was released 31st of May 2019. Lucid Dreams For Sale is a concept album and its story revolves around a dystopian society in which freedom and human dignity can only be achieved through personal success. The debut album was broadly recognized in Finnish music media.

The highly anticipated second album Worldview is set to be released in 2024. The album will be published by Inverse Records.

Finnish melancholic metal band Garden of Stone is set to release their debut EP ‘Tides of Decay’ later in 2024 via Inverse Records. The first single Hymn of a Dead Man Pt.1 is released today and you can listen to it on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/gos-hymn

“Garden of Stone’s debut single “Hymn of a Dead Man Pt.1” represents the band’s tendency to compose melancholic clean guitars combined with cleanly sung dark lyrics. On the other hand, the band shows its versatility on the song with a catchy chorus, a catchy solo and heavy riffs, where singer Jesse Salo‘s brutal roars also get a head start. The lyrics paint a portrait where indifference and sparking rage can be seen in the midst of boredom and despair. The whole is completed by Kalle Hänninen‘s bass melodies and Matias Rokio‘s genres-combining drums.” 

BIOGRAPHY:
Garden of Stone is a melodic metal band that weaves together melancholic rock and heavy metal. From the band you can expect brooding atmospheres, beautiful melodies, and face melting riffs.
 

The band was formed in 2023 when guitarists Jere Mäntysalo and Ville Penkari recruited Jesse Salo to sing and scream for their project. Soon after, drummer Tapio Haverinen joined to keep the rhythm department in check. The group was completed when bassist Kalle Hänninen joined to govern the lowest frequencies. Guest drummer Matias Rokio arranged and played the drums for the upcoming EP. The band published their first single, Hymn of a Dead Man Pt.1, in December of 2023, with the EP “Tides of Decay” just around the corner.
