Hailing from Italy, Arkana Code plays technical thrash death metal and this is their second album and it came out on mighty Metal Scrap Records Inc.
The album contains 10 songs plus intro. After the ominous intro in which we hear someone walking followed by evil sounding music, the opener “Violent Human Corruption” feasts our eyes with brutal thrash metal almost bordering with pure death metal. The song is really fast with wicked screamning guitars that even Slayer wouldnt be ashamed of. “Oppressor of Darkness” and “Escape from my Mind” are two more grenades on the territory of modern brutal deadly thrash metal. These guys were originally formed in 2008.under other moniker and enduring some lineup changes through the years, they gathered experience and the results are evident. For me the absolute highlight and the best song on the album is definitely “The Holocaust Horde” being a lesson in energy made for moshing. I liked this album and I am eager to hear the new stuff by this band in the future.
Camo Pants Records is the new underground record label and this is their first release. It is a record by Cist, death thrash metal band from Russia.
Cist was formed in summer 2014 in Smolensk (Russia) as a result of breakup of another band, Hell’s Thrash Horsemen. This album contains five tracks with titles in English language. The music this guys play is classic old school death thrash metal. The songs are fast, aggressive and they offer nothing new and revolutionary but this is a decent death thrash record. Vocals remind me of John Tardy from Obituary. These guys play a mix of Florida school of death metal with classic European Scandinavian death metal and are hellish good in what they do.
Italian metalcore act Let Them Fall has revealed in streaming their new album “Wolftales”, available from March 9th via Antigony Records. The new album was recorded, mixed and mastered at Wavemotion RecordingsStudios by Federico Ascari, artwork by Moonlover – Visual Arts.
The band says: “‘Wolftales’ is our first full-length, the arrival point of a long journey started more than one year ago. The thematics are familiar to our previous music, we speak about self-improvement and most of our songs are a call out for those who need to find their own path in this world. Regarding the sound we’ve maintained the same atmosphere we’ve created with the last two singles, a powerful metalcore but still melodic and emotional. Our great inspiration for this album as far as the concept is concerned has been the northern mythology, from which we’ve taken a part of the titles and lyrics”.
