Mada sam o ovom bendu već pisao u ovom zineu i mnogi znaju za moj gorko sladak odnos s ovim bendom. Na pisanje ovog teksta potaklo me to što sam nedavno pročitao konačno knjigu Aleksandra Dragaša, nazvanu po pjesmi Hladnog Piva-Trening za umiranje, koja je biografija prvih 20-ak godina karijere ovog prije punk a sada više rock benda iz Gajnica.

Zašto gorko-sladak odnos? E, pa zato što mi je koncert ovog benda daleke 1994.u čakovečkom Klubu bio prvi punk koncert kojeg sam pohodio i danas ga se sa sentimentom sjećam kao prvog, ali ono, mitološkog punk koncerta moje “karijere” polaženja koncerata i festivala. Pio sam uz ovaj bend, volio, urlao njihove tekstove, i mogu reći da su njihovi albumi “Džinovski” i “Gad” tekstualno imali ogroman utjecaj na moje odrastanje i formiranje kao osobe. Isto tako, njihov četvrti album “Pobjeda” mi se zauvijek osim po odličnim pjesmama utisnuo u sjećanje kao jedan od zadnjih albuma koje sam slušao sa mojom mlađom sestrom koja je poginula nedavno nakon što je album izašao. “Šamar” kao odličan album opet nosi u meni neke druge uspomene sa granice mog postajanja odrasle osobe. Bio sam barem jednom na gigu Hladnog piva nakon izlaska svakog od ovih albuma i uvijek mi je bilo jebeno odlično.

To je sladak dio,  a sada je red na onaj gorči dio. Nakon “Šamara” nekako su mi se izgubili, kao neki scenski elitist smatrao sam da su njihovi izgubili neki underground dodir, previše šminkera i seljaka je počelo pohoditi njihove koncerte i nisam se više osjećao dobro na njihovim gigovima. Do novog albuma koji mi je opet odličan odnosno “Dani zatvorenih vrata” istodobno sam ih volio i mrzio. Sada ih opet volim, ta mržnja i neki moj scenski elitizam se izgubio na pragu moje četrdesete godine života i konačno mogu reći nakon slušanja da mi se novi materijali sviđaju jednako kao i stari. Što sam pročitao u knjizi?

Moja osnovna zamjerka knjizi je da nije ni biografija benda, niti osobna Aleksandrova priča o njegovom životu, vezana paralelno uz bend, nego nešto između. Znate ono, nije ni, nije ni! Morao je odrediti po mom mišljenju bolje u kojem smjeru će knjiga ići, jer na kraju nije ispalo baš dobro. Nemojte me krivo shvatiti, knjiga je zanimljiva za čitanje i jedinstven dokument jedne ere jednog, pa možemo reći od najznačajnih bendova hrvatske rock scene od 90-ih naovamo. Kada sam pročitao u knjizi koliko se bend naradio i koliko govana najeo do uspjeha, koliko truda i odricanja kao u najnapetijem filmu, drago mi je eto da je dečkima uspjelo. Priča o uspjehu i trudu ne razlikuje se od priče nekih drugih bendova koji su u svijetu uspjeli na sličan način, ali je ipak poprilično jedinstvena za naše prostore. Nikada nisam mogao biti objektivan prema stvaralaštvu ovog benda, iako sam ih jedno vrijeme mrzio zbog toga što su postali, skidam im kapu do poda i nakon svega, svih tih godina, mogu reći da sam fan i hvala im na nekim pjesmama i albumima koji su utjecali na mene kroz moje formativne godine. Iako je ovo zine posvećen undergroundu prvenstveno, iako se više ne mogu nazvati punk bendom, mislim da ovaj članak itekako ima mjesto u ovom zineu.

Have you ever met someone that is so annoying that you caught yourself wishing to murder the person standing or sitting in front of you and bothering you endlessly?

I have, for sure! There are some people that I like to call Know-It-Alls, you know, those people that have opinions about everything and know everything and they bother everyone with their boring opinions day after day, hour after hour. First of the eleven Satanic rules of the Earth is to not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. So, why do these Know-It-Alls bother us all the time with their endless bickering about politics, about health, about cooking and about just everything, you name it. This can be also localized in hardcore punk and metal scene. Those experienced scenesters, about 25 years old, having that been there, done that attitude, like look at me Ma, I am old and I know everything about the scene, about the bands and I am bothering everyone because nothing is good enough, nothing is hardcore enough, nothing is metal enough, the bands with antichristian and Satanic lyrics are stupid, the antifa bands are stupid…in short, those people are so stupid and so empty that they can not be pleased with anything.

There are two ways to get rid of such people. Of course, there are three, but murder is punishable by law, so dont kill anyone! The first way is fool the stupid way. When Know-It-All is bothering you, the way to get rid of him starts with the level of his stupidity. You must somehow determine if Know-It-All is stupid enough to get rid of him in this way. You can do this by posing him a couple of simple questions about different themes that will confuse him. If you determine that Know-It-All is stupid enough, proceed with step two. Let him rant about his boring and idiotic stories and listen and stare intently at his face. Let him rant about five or so minutes and do not interrupt. Then, you can start putting in a short yes or nod of your head and that will lull the Know-It-All into believing that you care and agree with his idiotism. Then, step three is in order. Start putting in some sarcastic remarks. Of course, Know-It-All wont understand that you are being sarcastic since he is too stupid to get it. In that way try to create the remarks so Know-It-All can think that he is right and continue to pull him deeper and deeper into conversation and remarks should be sarcastic but you must determine the imagined line where you must stop so Know-It-All could not get that you are making him more stupid than he really is, if that is possible at all. This will work especially if you are surrounded with other people who will get that you are in fact making Know-It-All look foolish, but they enjoy in that little game. The end result will be that Know-It-All walks off thinking he is smart and master of the universe, and you and all the other people around can have a laugh at his stupidity. Have a try, this works, I have delivered that coup at least hundred times.

The second and a lot faster way is deliberate ignorance way. When Know-It-All approaches and starts his bickering, you just plain and simple laugh hard right in his face or smirk and turn your back. After all, stupidity should be painful. Sometimes this way is the only way to get rid of Know-It-All. They are still out there. They lurk on gigs, they lurk in coffee shops, they lurk on the street…I hope you can deal with them.
