Founded in 2010 by Dave Vainer as a solo endeavor in Naples, Florida, Hellfrost quickly captivated the local scene, evolving into a powerful project. Over the years, this entity has forged a legacy, birthing esteemed underground albums. In recent times, Hellfrost has experienced a resurgence with the addition of veteran drummer Angelo Duca and bassist Ryan Blackburn, propelling the band to new heights.

Their self-titled album, a testament to their musical prowess, was brought to life at Deerfield Beach, Florida, under the expertise of the iconic metal drummer Derek Roddy, known for his contributions to Hate Eternal, Malevolent Creation, Doomsilla, and other revered bands.

Here is one band from far away scene, namely Last Dayz from Indonesia. This is a three song demo featuring metallic hardcore with some deathcore and hardcore punk influences. Vocals are brutal and shouted like they should be for this pretty brutal music with some screaming backing vocal harmonies. Production of these demo songs is decent, everything hits you right in the face. Last Dayz play what we called new school hardcore in the nineties, meaning hardcore with lots of chugga chugga guitar work, double bass drumming and even thrash metal groove influences thrown in like in ‘Body Count’. You also get lyrics which are pretty dark and apocalyptic dealing with survival in world that goes down told from personal point of view and are in order aligned with aggressive and pretty brutal music being played here. Reminds me of all those H8000 Belgian hardcore school bands back in the nineties, not really my cup of tea, too metalized and too little hardcore punk. But, here is demo that contains great musicianship, brutal songs and I wish all the best to Last Dayz, hopefully an EP or full length in the future.

Colorado based metal band MIND INCISION has released the official music video for their single, ‘Zero230’! Directed by Luke Ostermiller at Loste Films Studios, the video was produced by Loste Films Studios and Mind Incision, and stars Derek Peters(active duty US Army). War film featured in the video was provided by Derek Peters, Dean Schafer, and Anthony Notaro. Produced by DAVE OTERO at Flatline Audio, ‘Zero230’ is off of the band”s, debut EP, The First Cut.

‘Zero230′ was written for our military veterans. The song is about people who suffer from PTSD and shows the struggles a lot of our veterans go through. 44 veterans take their own lives everyday; we want to make more people aware. Formed in December of 2022, Mind Incision was born of five Denver musicians featuring well known local and national Artists such as Arcanium and Motograter, to Cevrance and Mother of Exile. While encompassing several styles of metal, Mind Incision creates a unique and power driven sound, coupled with vocals that compliment the driving music well, and can be heard and understood through screaming and singing parts throughout. The group has signed with Music Gallery International’s management Shawn Barusch and are seeking touring opportunities NOW! With the release of their E.P. The First Cut, which was produced, mixed and mastered by Denver’s own Dave Otero at Flatline Audio, Mind Incision prepares to finish the record with Dave after their breakout tour in 2023.
