WESTMOOR REVEAL NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR “THE STORM” UK TOUR STARTS NEXT WEEK!

Italian alternative rock act Westmoor has revealed today a new music video for “The Storm”, second single taken from their debut EP “Braindrops” out now via This Is Core.“’The Storm’ is a song inspired by those tough moments that each and every one of us inevitably encounters during the course of life” says their frontman Fabio Di Meo “One often feels trapped and powerless in these situations, twisted and turned upside down as if in the midst of a violent and reckless storm. We find ourselves overthinking, which can even lead to questioning who we truly are as individuals. We might not realise that this tormented journey can only come to an end through consciousness; there are no answers, just acceptance of events, of our own limitations and contradictions. No matter how harsh the storm could be, it will come to an end at some point, leaving peace and quiet after itself”.

The long awaited second output by these New York Long Island band is here! The album contains ten songs of angry, rage driven but also emotional hardcore. The opening song “Still Burning” reminded me a little of Snapcase in their best days and then the music turns out into more chaotic metallic sound of Earth Crisis with some dark underlayers and groovy heavy laden hooks. This record goes to the dimensions of hardcore that we used to call new school in the 90-ies, meaning angry groove, heavy hardcore with metal influences, cutting guitars, screaming vocals and darker atmosphere. In case of Incendiary, the lyrics are pretty good and they cover the wide range of themes, from economic inequality to personal relationship crisis, freedom and many other great stuff. The production is excellent and I really love this record. It is a perfect weapon to vent out your anger and remember that there are people who feel the same as you and who try to cope and give their best to survive in the harsh reality of this fucked up world. The album is nothing new or special but it is a great angry return to more metalic currents of hardcore, without losing the primal hardcore edge. As the title says, this is the fourth studio album by these London based street punk heroes, the first to come out on mighty Burning Heart label. Although the band has gone through lineup changes in the last couple of years, they endured through the hard times and made one of their best albums up to date. This album contains 13 songs of pure street punk oi pleasure for your ears. The songs are excellently arranged, with anthemic choruses just made to sing along, great hooks and guitar melodies and the production is crystal clear and you can hear just everything and understand the lyrics without the lyric sheet. As far as the lyrics go, they just hit the spot where they need to and after listening to this album your heart is just full and you want more. So you put it on again, and again and again. This means that the album is not good, but excellent. Top songs:”Days, Months, Years”, “Carry On”, “For The Better Times”, but all songs rule!
