Finnish Rioghan is back after their successful debut album Different Kinds Of Losses which was released on last December via Inverse Records. 

The band is currently preparing their second studio album but before that they’ll release a 3-track EP titled Covers III on December 15th 2023. The chosen cover tracks are Toxic (Britney Spears), Sweet Death (King Dude) and Lethean (Katatonia).

Rioghan comments Sweet Death:
“Sweet Death became my favorite song that instant when I heard King Dude’s ‘Death’-album for the first time. It also became obvious, that this song had to be visited, if I only could find a suitable duet-partner. And of course we did, Tony Kaikkonen agreed to sing with me on this release too. Instrumentally we turned the song a bit to the heavier side, and for vocals we channeled our inner gothic atmosphere. All in all, a lovely song, where the lyrics also let you sink into the darkening autumn nights.”

Aaron Cravens is set to captivate the music world once again with the release of his latest single and accompanying video, “Pray For Us.” This exceptional piece of instrumental melodic metal is a taste of what’s to come from his forthcoming album, “Unify,” scheduled for release in 2024 via Wormholedeath.

This single is a concept about the current state of division in our society. While we are continuously fighting amongst ourselves about the freedoms that we have been given, the people serving our country are fighting for us to be able to have the privilege of those freedoms. Regardless of our political or religious views, if we do not start banding together, our society will be on the verge of collapsing. I believe this state of division is not only an issue in the United States but in the entire world as well. My goal with my music is to help spread unity and to do my part to bring back hope/peace in this world that I once knew.

Hailing from Southern Illinois, Aaron found his passion for music at the age of 7 and started playing guitar at the age of 13. He was involved in many local area bands throughout the next 8 years playing in the tri-state region. While Aaron was writing, performing, and building his guitar skills, he started audio engineering at age 16 and is currently producing and engineering all of his own material to date. After playing in many local acts, Aaron decided to break off and work on his own material. Aaron started writing his debut solo album “Regenerate” in May 2019 – a concept album about finding his way back to personal and professional growth as a musician. During this time, he also honed in on his skillset and direction as a guitarist. The album was released in May 2022 and featured Whitesnake/Trans Siberian Orchestra guitarist, Joel Hoekstra. The French extreme metal stalwarts of HYRGAL have released their brand new track ‘Nihil Est’, which is now streaming on all digital platforms HERE!

Formed in 2007, Hyrgal is an Extreme Metal band from France. Their name comes from nordic mythology and is the contraction of two runes, Tyr (god of victory, fire and fair war) and Hagalaz (hail). After some demos and local concerts, Hyrgal released their first album ‘Serpentine’ in 2017 on Naturmacht Productions and shortly after started to work with Les Acteurs de l’Ombre Productions for all next releases: ‘Fin de Règne’ (2020), ‘Hyrgal’ (2022) and ‘Sessions Funéraires: Anno MMXXIII’ (2023).

Hyrgal is reputed for their complex music, deep lyrics and extreme vision of life. Blending Death metal, Black metal and Dark Ambient elements, Hyrgal continue their crusade against the intransigent world, like a portal to inner liberation.
