Insammer drop official music video for new song – Vampires!

Vampires’ by INSAMMER, is out now and available for streaming and downloading on all major platforms. The track is taken from the band’s upcoming third full-length album, due in November 2021. The video for “Vampires” is available via YouTube. Directed by famous Turkish director Can Katipzade, the clip features frontwoman Vika in the role of a super-agent on a mission somewhere around the drug dealer’s mafia (starring all band members).

Vika says: ‘Vampires’ is a very strong but yet very passionate track. Throughout the pandemic, me and Dennis were writing a lot of dark, philosophic meaning songs. We tried to write openly about the ups and downs of our lives. All of us are living in a world of illusions and lies, we betray and kill each other just to get a wealthy life. ‘Vampires’ is not a single about medieval horror blood stories but about everyday life with all the sh*t we face on TV, Internet, magazines. Powerful riffs, heavy guitars and head crashing drums”.

From the well balanced production and creative instrumentation, to the impressive vocal performance, fans of INSAMMER, as well as those who appreciate new music, will definitely want to hear this single. Make sure you follow INSAMMER on social media to keep up to date with upcoming releases and performances!

INSAMMER is one of Sweden’s most promising metal bands, combining dark, pulsating Nordic grooves with Eastern European lyricism and melodic romanticism. Their live shows throb with emotional energy; Vika’s voice ranges from a whisper to a full-throated growl, melding with the instruments as verses explode into churning, hypnotic choruses and pounding, crowd-mesmerizing riffs. The group calls their sound transfusion metal, a heavy mixture of alternative rock and nu metal, which evokes the shifting musical styles and feelings that pour over them and infuse their performances.

The band was created in Stockholm by vocalist Vika and guitarist Dennis Wise, whose collaboration began at a music institute in Uppsala, Sweden. The name InSammer was inspired by The Door Into Summer, a science fiction novel by Robert Heinlein. The current lineup also features virtuoso guitarist Oleg Izotov, bassist Nikita Simonov, and world-class drummer Alex Karpukhin.

InSammer released two full length albums Numbers as Victims (2014) and Seeds (2018). In 2021 the band is working in the studio on a new yet untitled album. Before a new album release the band made a groovy classical rock Secret Service cover Flash in the Night and a new single Endless Sky.

(record review)LACRIMOSA-“Testimonium”(Hall of Sermon)

lacrimosa

I always had sort of warm/cold relationship with this Swiss gothic rock metal institution. Some of their albums worked for me fine, some just didnt. Now we are into their thirteenth studio album. Mastermind Tilo Wolff paid respect to all of the famous musicians that were somehow his role models and which passed away in 2016.

The album is supposed to be divided into four acts. All of the ten songs were written under feelings of sorrow, loss and it is one of the most emotional albums ever made by this band. The opener “Wann unsere Helden sterben” is gentle nod to the music heroes saying that the part of us died with them. As always, Tilo and Anne Nurmi provide excellent vocal interplay on all songs. “Nach dem Sturm” has a beautiful sad main melody and it brought goosebumps on my skin. “Weltenbrand” is probably the most metallic song on the record and one of my favourites. Other highlights of the album for me are “Herz and Verstand” and “Black Wedding Day”. This concept of hommage in symphony and emotions is the best Lacrimosa album in this decade for sure.
