Listen up, FAT fans! If you’re getting impatient for Strung Out news, you’re not alone. Today, we can finally broadcast that their brand-new album, Songs of Armor and Devotion, will drop on August 9th! Produced by Cameron Webb, (Motörhead, Megadeth), Songs of Armor and Devotion is a record that brims with the same ferocious fire the band had at the very start of their career, almost 30 years ago. Leading the collection is the moody “Daggers,” which features singer/songwriter Jason Cruz telling a story of personal turmoil, within the backdrop of an increasingly dystopian America. Stream the track on YouTube HERE or Spotify HERE.

Joey Cape’s brand new album, Let Me Know When You Give Up, is available for pre-order now! Out on Friday, July 5th, Cape’s latest effort is, conceptually, about giving up a losing fight. Even more so, it’s about quality of life, and abstaining from the madness that encircles our daily lives. Joey Cape produced the album, and it features contributions from Brian Wahlstrom (Scorpios/Gods Of Mount Olympus), Asher Simon, Neil Hennessy (The Lawrence Arms), Matt Riddle (No Use For A Name), and Zach Quinn (Pears).

The lead track, “I Know How To Run,” is a song Cape wrote about the current social debate and its divisive nature. “People seem more concerned with argument than the outcome,” he says. “The unwinnable fight defines some, but you don’t necessarily have to stay and fight. Leaving the conversation is a viable option. As a last resort, you can always run, figuratively or literally.”

Joey Cape will be touring Europe this summer and you can view those dates here!

BRACKET RETURNS TO FAT WRECK CHORDS!

Reunited, and it feels soooo good! After a few years apart, BRACKET and FAT are back together, and things are getting serious. After their hook, line, and sinker performance at FAT’s 25th Anniversary party in San Francisco, we knew we had to call dibs on their next album. Boy, are we glad we did! Their ninth full-length, Too Old to Die Young, drops on on May 31st, and it’s a doozy. We don’t want to leave you feeling like a third wheel, so slide on over to our YouTube channel, and listen to “Canned Food Drive.” Then, pre-order your copy today. Check out what Bracket had to say about their upcoming album below:

This album picks up where 1995’s 4 Wheel Vibe and our earliest songs for FAT left off, grabbing a few weird harmonies and world-weary lyrics along the way: eleven songs, recorded in living rooms and garages, each under 3 minutes. Angelo sings two songs, Zack sings one, and we wrote everything together. We recorded it with Fat Mike’s encouragement to stop overthinking our music and record a punk album again. The lyrics are about a band that despite never fitting in or really “making it,” never stopped trying.
