Finnish goth rockers LAMORI release captivating single and lyric video for ‘Never Alone’!

Acclaimed rock dark metal band LAMORI is set to enthrall fans once again with the release of their latest single and accompanying lyric video, ‘Never Alone.’ The track, which offers a unique blend of haunting romanticism and dystopian science fiction, serves as a precursor to their highly anticipated album, ‘NEON BLOOD FIRE.’

‘Never Alone’ transports listeners to a near-future world teetering on the edge of self-destruction, where two lovers dare to face the chaos surrounding them and unearth the chilling secrets of their own existence. Against the backdrop of a dying sun, they cling to the enigmatic cyber-legend known as The Athanasia Project. The track’s compelling narrative weaves a tragic tale of love and loss, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who dare to venture into LAMORI’s dark and enchanting realm.

LAMORI’s band members, including Matias Juselius (vocals), Marcus Pellas (guitar), Mikael Westerlund (bass), Jens Wickholm (keys), and Emanuel Sanchez (drums), have poured their artistic vision into ‘Never Alone.’ Demonstrating their versatility, the band chose to include a slightly softer song within their repertoire of hard-hitting bangers, a tradition they’ve maintained across their previous albums. ‘Never Alone’ seamlessly blends heartfelt emotions with a powerful musicality, culminating in a bridge that delivers an intense punch, emblematic of LAMORI’s signature style.

(review) Delain – ‘Dark Waters’ (Napalm Records)

Delain from Holland were formed by keyboardist and mastermind Martijn Westerholt and this is their seventh full length opus. What is new in Delain, all the members except Martijn quit the band couple of years ago and it became a solo project again, but here is the new line-up, hence the new opus and it is mighty good. This one contains eleven songs, one being a piano version of one of for me best songs on this opus called ‘The Quest and the Curse’. For those who don’t know, Delain play symphonic gothic metal, bombastic sympho passages interplay with great guitar melodies topped with dramatics and beautiful voice of new singer Diana Leah. What I must also mention that this opus includes guest performances by Paolo Ribaldini and ex Nightwish bassist/vocalist Marko Hietala especially in song ‘Invictus’ which is also one of my personal favorites on this album. Some bands playing this kind of metal tend to lose their edge and become too soft, Delain on this album kept their metal edge especially in ‘Tainted Hearts’, melodic gothic metal mixed with fine dose of metal marching guitars. Songs that I must also mention as being superb are ‘Moth to a Flame’ and ‘Queen of Shadow’. This is a great sympho gothic metal album by legends of the genre.
