Grafting together the rough edges of grunge and neck-cramp grooves of proggy metal, with ‘Make Believe’ Surplus gathers up the last few scraps of human decency and reassembles the shreds into a world beyond recognition, beyond facts. Surplus is a Jyväskylä, Finland based two piece rock band founded in 2016. Following two EPs in 2017 and 2018, the duo released their debut record ‘Hindsight’ in 2020. The band scavenged shows where possible throughout the pandemic and released one single ‘Wannabe’ along with a music video. Make Believe is a sign of things to come for the band: Surplus is the best around and they show it.

Finnish-Estonian metal band Killhall is set to release their debut album ‘Skullsplitter‘ on June 2nd 2023 via Inverse Records. The second single and music video Delirium Tremens is released today and it’s available here: https://push.fm/fl/killhall-delirium-tremens 

The band comments:

‘We’ve all been there. But maybe not that deep in it. In this song and video the main character take’s a trip made so many times before – delirium tremens. This is a story of toxins taking over one man’s life and making everything seem different. Maybe even better than it is in reality?‘

BIOGRAPHY:
Killhall happened because of the need to evolve. Coming to rehearse together from over 666 kilometers and from two neighboring countries you’d be right to ask: “Why the fuck? Don’t you have anyone else to play with at your hometown?” The true answer to it is that all Killhall members have 15+ years of gigs, rehearsals, comings and goings behind their back and at one point you just want to find the right guy next to you. Shortly to blast some badass heavy metal, see the people jump up and down to your music and to make a statement what metal should be in our ears and eyes and is in our northern hearts.

(new single/video) French metallers ALEISTER revealed first single from upcoming album!

ALEISTER is a thrash metal band formed in 1987 in the east of France. In 90’s they released six demos on tape and debut album ‘Tribal Tech’ (1994). In 1997 they decided to hang on band activity.

After more than 20 years of silence they back in 2018 and in 2019 released second album ‘No Way Out’. After four years French band will hit with new record. Upcoming album consist 7 tracks of pure thrash metal where powerful and sharp riffs flirt with groovy and percussive rythms. This year, ALEISTER will play live show at Hellfest on Altar Stage (18th June).

Music was recorded, mixed and mastered by Renaud Hebinger at Ghost Studio (Karelia, Mercyless) and with David Husser as producer. Cover artwork was done by David Chambon.

Third studio album titled “Nightmare” will be released digitally and as digipak CD on April 28, 2023 via M&O Music and distributed by Season of Mist.
