Svi koji iole nešto slušaju i znaju metal, znaju tko je KK Downing, Legendarni gitarist legendarnih Judas Priesta je prije nekoliko godina izašao iz benda. Nisam ni znao da je KK počeo tezgariti na slavi i prošlosti svog bivšeg benda. Inače me nerviraju ta tezgarenja kada gitarist jedne od postava nekog benda s prvog albuma osnuje svoje verziju benda i varijaciju na ime, pa onda pjevač s drugog dema tezgari svoju verziju i tako dalje. E, pa ovdje srećom to je, ali nije slučaj. Dakle, KK je okupio odlične muzičare među kojima je najpoznatiji Tim Ripper Owens, pjevač koji je upravo u Judasima zamijenio Halforda na dva albuma koji su mi bili žešći smor uz pokoju iznimku dobre pjesme. Ali, mora se priznati da je Owens odličan vokal. U kombinaciji sa himničnim melodičnim metal pjesmama i KK ovim sviranjem kao i sing along himničnim heavy metal pjesmama, ovaj album ispada sasvim solidan uz mnoge ode metalu kao što su Raise Your Fists, odlično odabrana kao single, odličnu Brothers of the Road u više hard rock utjecaju, kao i Metal Through And Through koju sam preslušao više puta zaredom. Ako volite metal, nepatvoren i melodičan, ovo će vam biti sasvim super album.
Finnish melodic heavy metal band Renegade Angel released a new single and music video Damnation via Inverse Records. This single features Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest, ex-Iced Earth) on vocals.
Band’s mastermind Jani Pöysä comments: “I think we managed to bring the best aspects of our previous songs and create a masterpiece for us. The song has even more variation and a larger production than the prior songs. The riffs and hooks are strong, but there are so many awesome layers of keys, piano, vocal harmonies as well as guitar- and bass fills that take it to another level! I am proud of how everybody did such an amazing job and perfected with the tiniest details and managed to make the song as amazing as it was meant to be.”
BIOGRAPHY: Renegade Angel is a melodic heavy metal project run by Jani Pöysä. Acknowledging his limits to performing and recording he searched for the best musicians that would be able to implement his vision for this project. There is a difference in style between the songs, but have catchy riffs, strong sing-along choruses, amazing solos, and awesome guitar harmonies. Alejandro Fernandez (Trescent) is the lead singer, synth player, occasional guitarist and producer on every track and has also helped developing musical ideas to their perfection. Lukky Sparxx (Guitars/Exxocet) has had a key role in developing these ideas into the best songs they could be. We’ve been featured on the biggest music publications and national radio in both Finland and Sweden but got broad support all over the world. The reception has been amazing and we’ve even gotten huge names such as Tim “Ripper” Owens sing on our songs and recommend our music. Lyrical themes revolve around the realities of a dystopian harsh world and the importance to stand up for yourself and what’s right. We certainly got grand visions and great ideas for new songs and have some great legends that could play and sing with us. ILEAN Is a heavy metal band from Mexico, formed in February 2019. The band was signed by Curtain Call Records in 2020. Their first album “RUNAS” was released in June 2021 ! ILEAN has it’s sights set on touring in 2021 and hitting the US in 2022. The main influences of the band are: Slipknot, Pantera, Here Comes The Kraken, Arcadia Libre, Thell Barrio, Nimfalic, to name a few. The Sub-Genre is uncertain, some will say Metalcore, Black metal , others would say “Nu metal” or “Deathcore” however we just simply call it METAL, Why we should follow a line of selection, and pigeonholing – Let’s just make music!
The band has an EP entitled RUNAS which was released Jun 18th 2021 with 6 songs that can be listened to on all digital platforms.
