(review) superhero status-20/20 (wtf records)

3. WTF-046 cover

WTF Records never cease to amaze with quality new releases and delivering awesome mainly European hardcore punk bands to the attention of the new fans worldwide. This time, Superhero Status are in order with their brand new e.p.

I must admit that I haven`t listened to great old school hardcore for a long time and I am really happy that this record came into my hands. This is just it. Old school positive hardcore like we knew and loved when we were kids growing up with anthemic touch, melody and energy flying all over. There are four songs on this record, one being awesome cover of Iron Maiden-Wasted Years. For me, my personal favorites are True To Our Believes and Miles And Changes, also Never Left with that old school begin of the song that made goosebumps on my skin like a time machine taking me back to the times when I was a kid and reminding me why I love hardcore so much still after all these years. This is a fantastic e.p., I really want to listen to the full length soon.

3. WTF-034 Cover

WTF Records continues to release great records, keeping the fire of both European and worldwide hardcore burning and being strong. This time it is time for Ammo to grace the pages of this zine. Ammo are from M-Town and this is their debut full length out now. This band plays rapcore and if I must compare it to some bands it would be Biohazard, Downset, Bodycount….meaning metalized hardcore guitar riffs, grooves, aggresive street punk influenced song parts and dual rapping vocals adding to the heaviness and streetwise smartness and toughness. This is a music for going out, drink some beers with your crew and smell the streets of your town and having a nice night in the concrete jungle of your town or city. For me personal favorite is About Time having nice and catchy guitar melody in the background of the song and acoustic ending, but also the title track featuring guest vocals of German ghetto metal rapper Daniel Gun is awesome too. Daniel also provides guest vocals for Pork Chops. I am usually not an avid fan of this kind of hardcore, but this one is a powerful debut record. Go get it!

Sun-0-Bathers are in no way strangers to Kraykulla webzine, we already featured them on the pages of this zine, with a review and a featured single, so we know what to expect when their new record comes out and that is fantastic melodic skatepunk from Holland, that is just what we got with Floater, their new record out with Morning Wood Records.

This new record contains 7 songs of beautiful, mainly fast paced skatepunk with superb guitar riff melodies, awesome vocals and just as fantastic backing vocal harmonies which I love so much when listening to this music. Concerning the songs, they are even better than the last release, catchy and energetic, with Locals Only and Huntington Beach Resort, also Done With You being my personal favorites. If you are into nice and energetic melodic punk music, go get this one.
