Two years lived intensely by the band, between line-up changement and an interesting artistic evolution, as explained by their frontman Roberto Sterpetti: “After the first concept album ‘The Long Way’ I felt the desire to give a clear direction on the new stuff. With this positive mood in the summer 2017 I realized 11 tracks in just a couple of weeks! But Klee Project is a team, and not a personal project, for this reason I wanted to involve great musician friends who could make this new job unique… And for this reason I’m proud to announce Chicco Gussoni (lead guitar) and Daniele Iacono (drums), new entries that have magnificently shaped the sound of the songs. Lorenzo Poli (bass) remains a certainty of the Klee Project by making a real glue to the whole band. All enriched by the lyrics written by two american singers, Mike Botula and Blitch Vizioli, who told stories and incredible sensations. The desire to represent myself in this style was so strong that I did not think about so many frills. Essential, powerful and decisive!”.

The combo is a formed by good punk rockers, mixing the Californian sounds of the 90s with a personal touch of motorcity style.

Lyrics that speak of anger, of disillusionment, but also of hope; with the conviction of someone who has something to say and knows how to do it.

From “I’m back“, with its bully riff, to “One Fucking Minute” with the rude drum kicking, passing through the bitterness of “Back To Heaven” and the southern flavor of “Fulfix“, up to the greetings of “Goodbye” and the emotional notes of “Hard Times Tattoo“.

20 minutes of real Punk Rock!!!

(record review)A PALE DECEMBER-“The Shrine of Primal Fire”

I am impressed, I can say frankly. Many todays black metal bands tend to be boring or too generic or repetitive, especially many bands consisting of one or two members.

cover

Fortunately this is not the case with A Pale December. This duo is hailing from mighty Italy, namely Milan. This is their debut album consisting of 7 songs. A Pale December play black metal that I would dare call symphonic melodic black metal. The structure of the songs is nothing new, but that mix of aggressive blast beat parts and atmospheric acoustic  parts backed with skillfull and nice synth parts suits me just fine as I am listening and writing this warm Autumn night. The vocals are harsh but not high pitched and you can actually understand a lot of the lyrics. The song lyrics themselves deal with nature, evil and some personal demons. The drums are programmed and you can actually hear while listening that the drummer is the machine but it is nicely done and I loved every single bit of this album. I did not hear a good symphonic black metal for a long time. I am happy I heard this band and hope that their next releases will be event better.
