FRONT ROW WARRIORS, the South German top artists, launched their third single “Chasing Shadows” with a lyric video worth seeing on September 15, 2023 – top-notch AOR/Melodic Metal, as you can enjoy it rather rarely from today’s acts in this fine form.
The catchy uptempo number, which is played in an equally brisk and rousing fluidity, is another excellent song from the enormously substantial debut album “Wheel Of Fortune“, which was released on June 09, 2023 as blue vinyl and CD digipak via ROAR Records – a work that is fantastic in many respects and which continues to receive excellent to completely enthusiastic reviews in the music press!
“Chasing Shadows” tells the tragic love story of two young people who desperately try to escape their ecclesiastical conventions, but ultimately fall apart because of lies and slander, and ultimately both tragically lose their lives. The moving story is based on the Greek mythology “Hero and Leander” by the poet Ovid. Jim Evgenidis of Iconfilmworx skillfully directed “Chasing Shadows“.
Formed in 2019 in Stuttgart by Jay-G, drums (Shining, Sharon), Elkie Gee, vocals (Ampyre, Antares) and Sorin Badin, a well-known Romanian guitarist (Cardinal, Samsara, Crystal Maze) under the name FRONT ROW WARRIORS.
They completed the formation in 2020 with Richie Seibel, keyboards, (Lanfear, Ivanhoe, Them) and Timo Michels, bass, (5th Season, Pump).
In the summer of 2022, guitarist Stef Binnig-Gollub (Septagon) joined the multiple capable MELODIC METAL band.

The tale of Violet Sin finds its roots in the collaboration between masterminds Veli-Matti Kananen (Kalmah) and Jon Pyres (Lycanthro, Threads of Fate). As torchbearers of melancholic metal, the band’s foundation was laid with a vision to weave diverse musical elements into their sonic tapestry. This vision was further enriched by the inclusion of Jimi Myohanen (Se, Josta Ei Puhuta / Kaera / Swansong / Sadistik Forest) and Ari Levola (RASA), each contributing their unique brilliance. Their collective synergy culminated in their pursuit of their first EP, a musical testament to their artistic evolution. Having embarked on this endeavor in late 2022, the band is poised to unveil their masterpiece in 2023 under the banner of Inverse Records. Germany’s Majesty unfortunately disbanded after having played their farewell show at this record release show at the end of April. I am saying unfortunately and sadly, because this is their tenth full length opus containing twelve songs, one being intro to the story. Majesty play everything I love about this kind of heavy metal. They are fast and energetic, they are melodic and hitting hard with proud warrior metal lyrics and wear their hearts in the right places. These bunch of songs just ask for being sang along to, pump your metal horns and fists in the air and hug a smelly brother in the pit next to you. Heavy hitters like ‘Back to Attack’, ‘Glorious Warriors’, ‘Never Kneel’ will bring your pride and metal heart will beat faster upon listening to these songs, no matter how maybe hard and harsh your day is. That is magic in the metal, isn’t it? Vocals are great and soar in the higher octaves but stay low enough to fit into complex song structures and hit us with one metal gloved punch after another. I am sorry about the fact Majesty disbanded, because they were awesome. Nice testament to great band!
