SCARS were founded by Ole in 2013. The idea was to create straight forward and catchy, melodic metal. So, after recording In Constant Suffering, he needed to get a band together for live performance and further recordings. He gathered old friends and bandmates and started rehearsals right away. Ole, Morten, Cato and Torben became Scars at the end of 2014Cato and Morten left the band in 2018, before the band’s first European tour. Geir and Robin joined, and Scars went on a two-week European tour with Master, promoting a brand-new EP, Trust No One. In 2019 they started recording new music and booked two new European tours with Six Feet Under, but due to covid, the tour and album were put on hold. 2021 Scars signed a deal with WormholeDeath Records and will re-release a remastered Trust No One with 3 brand new songs, in 2022!

Danish metal band STEELBOURNE sign with Wormholedeath for the reissue of ‘A Tale As Old As Time’!

Danish Metal Band STEELBOURNE have signed with Wormholedeath a licensing deal for the reissue of their album “A Tale As Old As Time”, due for re-release on April 29th, 2022 worldwide.

Steelbourne stated, “We are beyond excited to initiate a joint adventure with WHD and look forward to introducing the world to our classic heavy metal, with a contemporary twist. We are confident that the WHD team consists of rock stars who can help us take the Steelbourne name to the next level. A Tale as Old as Time was written and recorded at home, first and foremost for us (the band), but with the reception we have received so far, we simply have to share it with more people. Carlo and the team have our complete trust in this endeavor.”

“A Tale As Old As Time”
The album itself is classic metal at its best, inspired by giants such as Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Accept, Primal Fear, Candlemass and many more.
We do, however, trust that you can hear the originality in the 7 tracks, which all tell their own unique story – thematically poking at religious events throughout history. We are extremely proud of this album and are excited for the future together with WHD.

With several releases and a plethora of gigs to their name from previous constellations, Steelbourne set out to conquer new land for danish metal and prove that the new generation still writes classics!

Steelbourne was initially a lockdown studio-project, designed to finish unreleased material by their previous band. As the writing escalated, the foundation for “A tale as old as time” was built – and a single spark reignited inferno. Steelbourne honor the legends of old, being deeply inspired by giants such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Candlemass and Accept while incorporating contemporary elements into their music, aiming to provide a modern take on classic heavy metal.
Having played large venues both domestically and internationally, the band is no stranger to touring life either, looking forward to getting back on the road.

Steelbourne are:
Jacob Vestergaard Druedahl Bruun – Guitars
Troels Rasmussen – Lead Vocals
Benjamin Andreassen – Bass-guitar, Backing vocals
Simon Klem Kannegaard – Guitars
Simon Sorsback – Drums & Backing vocals

Swiss post-doom trio Kalkas premiered new official music video ‘Au milieu du feu, il est leur guide’.

Naturalistic Post-doom – including stoner and psych-rock elements – trio from Lausane and emerging from the amazing Swiss scene in 2019, Kalkas is about to release its debut full-length album called ‘Envoûtante sève’ and planned on LP & Digital on April 8th through Table Basse Records.

In the meantime, the band just premiered a first glance from this forthcoming album with the official music video of “Au milieu du feu, il est leur guide” available right now on YouTube.

Beyond its musical dimension, Kalkas develops a conceptual universe around issues related to climate change and the anger this causes among the various members of the band.

In a romantic and dualistic approach, with some points of naturalistic contemplation, this album offers a first dive into the subdued atmosphere of a dark autumnal and forest mist. To a sound saturated with existential angst, the instruments respond to the call of Kalkas, a deep entity with a vague design for our humanities.

Punctuated with narrative and poetic vocal passages, the album ‘Envoûtante Sève’ offers a first vision of this new world, under construction.
