Bloodlines join Facedown Records family and here is the new single Colder!

Facedown is proud to welcome Bloodlines to the Family!

From the Gulf Coast of Texas come Bloodlines, a four-piece modern -core outfit taking cues from bands like For Today, Impending Doom and Convictions. The band’s 2019 debut LP Hostile | Minds, which marries classic metal core with a distinctly progressive twist, was hailed as a “dark and violent record,” with one reviewer noting “A heavy band is born.”

Bloodlines’ mission statement is as clear as their sound is brutal. They plainly assert that their vision is very simple and that’s to spread the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Bloodlines have released a brand new single, “Colder,” which will be followed by “HEVEL,” a 5 song EP slated for spring/summer 2021.

Halysis are hailing from Finland, Lahti to be precise and were formed in 2015. This is their debut album and it is a tour de force in aggression and melody.

There are 11 songs on this record with Echoes being kind of intro instrumental like calm before the storm. The music of Halysis is a mixture of melodic death metal, thrash metal, melodic metalcore and power metal. Nice, eh? That means screaming and shouted vocals which quickly transform into clean and beautifully sung voice and fit the atmosphere of the songs perfectly. Also, metalcore groove meets fast thrash metal drumming, aggression fits perfectly into melodic and more catchy guitar hooks and choruses and I am a sucker for such things and love it when band mixes screams into clean and vice versa. Pack it into nice song structures and you get total victory. This is a strong debut record. Recommended songs: Arbiter, Celestial Vortex.

Second Arrows, the new metal-core outfit featuring current and former members of Deadguy, Every Time I Die, Nora, and Ensign, have just released a brand new single. “Galactic” comes from their upcoming self-titled debut on New Jersey indie label, Hellminded Records. Produced and recorded by Kevin Antreassian of Dillinger Escape Plan, “Galactic” is a crushing mix of metal and hardcore with moments of space rock amidst all of the chaos. “Sonically and lyrically, Galactic covers all of the ground that we as a band want to cover – driving, spacey, frenetic, and back again.” – Dan Brennan. “Galactic” is currently streaming at Lambgoat.com.
