SERPENTS is a band playing modern/post-metalcore with a touch of electronic music, formed in 2023 in Szczecin (PL), consisting of five members. The band is distinguished by its professional approach to music, creating a unique sound in which aggressive guitars harmonize with pulsating electronic elements.
Polish band already released new song, third from upcoming debut record.
Band commentary about new song: “We present to you “Hourglass”. This song was created relatively quickly, its structure is simple but catchy. The arrangement is dominated by synthesizers, but there are also live instruments. Lyrically, the song is about not coping with your own bad habits, being stuck in stagnation and lack of motivation for positive changes. The music video is the work of Rock-It.tv, i.e. Michał Matys and Anna Pomierczyk-Wiechnik, and uses an image generated using artificial intelligence.“
Dynamic alt-metallers Emil Bulls are now releasing the title track of their much-anticipated new album, Love Will Fix It, which will be out on 12th January 2024 via Arising Empire.
The song poetically navigates the highs and lows of life, showcasing love as both a journey and a steadfast anchor. Beyond romantic love, it emerges as a universal anthem for friendship, self-love, and resilience, emphasizing love’s capacity to overcome, heal, and endure through adversity. The track’s uplifting spirit and mantra highlight the unyielding and transformative strength of love.
Vocalist Christoph von Freydorf comments:
“In this song, we want to portray that love is like a firm anchor and a resilient boat that holds us up in all storms and challenges. We believe in its power to conquer, to stay and ultimately to fix it all.“
Emil Bulls have just embarked on a journey of musical exploration and audience connection. The tour serves as a prelude to the album release and is poised to showcase a revolutionary evolution in their sound. This new album will unleash a whirlwind of emotions, blending the raw energy of metalcore with lyrical depth that speaks of repairing, hope, and the power of love.
‘Shame’ resonates deeply with the raw and emotional journey of vocalist Oli Duncanson. Since openly revealing his true identity, the singer has faced a challenging path towards societal acceptance, a struggle that profoundly influences the lyrics of this powerful song.
Personal statement from Oli Duncanson:
“‘Shame’ was written about the feeling of not being able to accept your sexuality; an aspect of yourself that can’t be changed, and how it makes you feel that you don’t belong anywhere. It affects every way in which you navigate through life and won’t leave you until you come to terms and embrace it.“
