OUTMAYR Share New Video For “The Dawn Of The Day After”!

Italian metalcore act Outmayr has dropped a brand new video for “The Dawn Of The Day After”, new single out now in all digital stores in partnership with Superbia Music Group.

Speaking on the release of his new video, Outmayr shares: “’The Dawn Of The Day After’ speaks to everyone: whether it’s your boss, the friend with the permanent smile, or the apparently careless person. Everyone feels lost at some point.  The difference is made when we stop standing still and decide to act, in any direction, for our own good. The official video (perhaps our favorite so far) tells all of this in a story of courage, that kind of courage we bring out in the worst times. Initially, you literally see a group of people digging their own grave with their hands. First among them, our protagonist (Peko). Until one of those people dies, falling into their own grave. This is where the spark ignites, the decisive moment, the last junction before a road that will always be downhill. Right at that moment, Peko realizes the madness they are all engaged in. He takes his hand to his chest, instinctively. The necklace he finds, is the emotional anchor that urges him to stop digging and start running. To escape from the bottom of the barrel, Peko will have to climb a mountain, symbol of everything he has always run away from and never wanted to face, risking several times not to make it and fall back. He faints as he reaches the top. When the same people who were digging around him lift him up, moved by Peko’s single gesture, and accompany him towards dawn, to face together whatever comes next, whatever it may be. With the release of this single, we can already say that 2024 will be a year full of new developments for our project and all the people who support our music.

(review) Ape Metro – ‘Animal Instinct’

Ape Metro are hailing from New York and this is their new single featuring two songs. This is one of those modern hardcore bands playing mixture of some hardcore punk roots but also thrash metal and delivering what we called ‘new school’ hardcore back in the nineties. ‘The Leech’ is great song with some fast parts and wicked catchy guitar work on solo guitar during hardcore punk fast part. ‘Scarab’ is more complex, slower metalcore song reminding me a lot of Integrity and such bands. Vocals are screaming, the whole atmosphere on this release is more darkened and apocalyptic, this is not your posi core stuff, but deliverance through suffering.

(review) Sentido De Libertad – ‘Sobrevivir’

SDL or Sentido De Libertad are hailing from Santiago, Chile. This is their brand new EP done totally DIY and it contains 6 songs. The music is bordering between fast and melodic hardcore with some metallic even melodic death metal influences. There are 6 songs on this one and I dig this EP a lot. ‘Alerta invasor’ is an instrumental song which prepares us listeners for what is to come. One of my personal favorites is ‘Maquinaria’ having such superb melodic guitar hook on fast chorus and some groove hardcore moments in its structure. Lyrics are in Spanish language and I think as far as I understand from titles that these guys play very angry melodic hardcore. The title track also has that brutality mixed with melody and screaming and growled vocals that fit perfectly to the song structure. This title song is showing strong that melodeath and thrash metal approach in the songwriting along with hardcore roots. All songs on this EP are just epic, like also ‘Mirada indolente’ turning from mid tempo punk rock song to epic masterful metallic hardcore in just a moment. ‘Dios sin piel’ is another strongpoint on this EP being my personal favorite, fast and strong and epic. ‘Sangre en el camino’ is brutal and harsh, but it has that melodic moment on chorus where vocals are shouted and growled yet melodic at the same time, more hats off to the singer, and finishes this EP leaving me wanting more and wanting to check out these guys play live.
