Those who know me, also know about fact that wrestling is my love all these years since I was a kid and I watched it for the first time at my friend’s place on Sky One channel. Many decades later, I still watch WWE and AEW promotions and last night’s Monday Night Raw episode was coming home episode for this coming Saturday’s Money In The Bank pay per view event. There were some highs and lows of this episode. definite highs were the Raw debut of NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, who, although lost a match to Finn Balor of Judgement Day, made quite an impression. Other high was main event match Cody Rhodes vs Damian Priest of Judgement Day with that Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio boring characters going in the way and distract the ref. Judgement Day faction is for me one of the most boring factions in wrestling of all times. Dominik’s match vs Akira Tozawa was comedy and nothing but a mid segment to emphasize his match with Cody Rhodes this Saturday at MITB. The feud between Tommasso Ciampa and The Miz continues with no contest scheduled match. Men’s MITB ladder match was advertised via match of Richocet vs Shinsuke Nakamura with Bronson Reed creating chaos at ring. I grew to hate this feud and it is quite boring segment last couple of weeks. All the women from MITB women’s ladder match were present in the ring starting a brawl with one another to emphasize the coming match. Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are indeed workhorses of Raw with Zayn facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther and losing to him in the ring, with all Imperium faction being there and making a mess of a fine match, especially with Zayn/Owens scheduled to defend their titles against Pretty Deadly this Friday night on Smackdown. It all served to announce match for Intercontinental Championship this Saturday at MITB with Gunther defending vs Matt Riddle to which I am looking forward very much. In all this episode had same amount of lame and great segments.
