Since playing their first show in 2014, For I Am have grown into one of the most well-known and active bands in the Belgian punk scene. The band’s always been a proud advocate of upbeat, powerful pop-punk songs with catchy hooks and strong vocals by lead singer Hanne.Over the course of 5 years, the band has released an EP called ’15 Minutes Late’ (2015), a debut album by the name of ‘All About Perspectives’ (2017) and compilation CD made for their Japanese Tour in 2019.Encouraged by their rising sales and enthused audiences, the band went back to the studio and recorded its second full album called ‘Late Bloomers,’ The album will be released on November 11th, 2019.To promote their music, For I Am played a great deal of national and international shows, including several international tours through Europe, the UK and Japan.
On top of that, they opened club shows for bands such as The Bombpops, Propagandhi, Lagwagon, Frenzal Rhomb, Iron Chic, Not On Tour and Satanic Surfers.2019 has been a great year for the band as they got to play Belgian punk festivals GROEZROCK, El Topo Goes Loco and Brakrock Ecofest and they also headed out to Slovenia a second time for Punk Rock Holiday.Future plans involve getting out on the road even more, playing festivals and heading out on tour if the opportunity arises to promote the new album as much as possible.

(review)Sicko-In the alternate timeline(Red Scare Industries)

cover

Remember Seattle˙s Sicko? These guys played an important role in the 90-ies pop punk when pop punk was more punk and less pop, contrary to nowadays. Well, Red Scare Industries released nice compilation of their biggest hits from all era of the band. 19 songs of furious tempo pop punk/melodic punkrock are here for your listening pleasure. I must admit that I never listened to Sicko close when I was a kid in the 90ies but now this records suits me as well as thousands other fans to rediscover this band and their opus again. The hits like Where I Live, Believe, Kathy`s Dance and all the other are sure to win over and re-ignite your old punkrock heart like it is twenty something years ago hehe. Great record!

(review) Foxhall Stacks-The Coming Collapse(Snappy Little Tunes)

cover

Foxhall Stacks is a punkrock supergroup, although I hate that word. Its members are former or active members of bands like Jawbox, Government Issue, Bad Religion…and this is their debut album with Snappy Little Tunes. The veterans from Washington DC released 10 beautiful songs of a mixture of pop, punkrock, emo and indie with nice melodies, catchy choruses, songs to make you smile and make you better if you had a rough day like I did today. The songs on this record are somehow an amalgamation and vision of all the bands members play or have played in with emotion, guts, grit and melody. Not all songs are top, but there are more great songs than average songs. Me personally find The Reckoning, The Old Me, Top Of The Pops somehow the best with most of the other songs being awesome too apart from some too rockish songs like Do It Yesterday. This is a good band.
