Tired and Trustless is basically two men internet project with instrumentals from Tom Schlatter (Hundreds of AU, You and I, The Assistant) and vocals/noise from Nathaniel Murray (Karloff, No Funeral Records). These 7 short songs offer a mixture of hardcore punk, noise core, screamo and even powerviolence frenzy with screaming vocals, fast drumming, some midtempo or slower sludgy parts, nervous guitars, atmosphere for the end of the world killed by virus germs hehe. The lyrics are short and personal, more of a haiku style with almost every song lasting under a minute, time quickly passes with this short but sweet outburst of chaos, rage and despair.
This one was originally released in 2009, but cool Zegema Beach Records rereleased it on tape because they love this one so much and it deserves to be rereleased for new fans to hear this one. The music is strange and chaotic mixture of hardcore, screamo, spoken word, noise and nervous breakdowns. From faster Suspended In Carbonite insanity to more metal and sludgier parts, the songs do not get boring for one second. Also, there are some weird but nice atmospheric parts thrown in some song structures to add to the overall aggressive and desperate yet emotional outbursts in songs. Not unlike the continent, this band is unpredictable, heavy and interesting. Check this one definitely.
Thanks to the loving people at Zegema Beach Records, I was able to find out and listen to this fantastic band from Spain. Crossed play an apocalyptic mixture of hardcore punk with dirty crusty influences and also screamo, even black metal stuff, combined with some d-beat and good old hc punk. This 13 songs are fast, hit in the head, but also have some lighter atmospheric parts like great song Swallow, one of my personal favorites besides Colored Pain, Barely Buried Body and Ghost. The vocals are so varied, from shouting, black metal screaming to some ominous whispering, so they add dynamics to the already interesting song structures and arrangements. I would recommend this stuff as one of the best albums of this kind of music that I have listened in the last couple of months. Go get this one, you will not be sorry.
