(record review)Los Fastidios-Elisa Dixan sings Los Fastidios(KobRecords Italia)

The long time running Italian ska/streetpunk legends Los Fastidios are due to go in studio some time March this year to record the new studio album. In the meantime, they released this limited 7 inch e.p. to treat their fans with something special.

This record contains two old Los Fastidios songs, namely So Rude So Lovely and Radio Babylon but this time sung by Elisa Dixan, long time tourmanager and friend of the band and one of the people who run the awesome label KobRecords whose hard work and releases bring joy to many people and rudies out there.  The songs are great, ska and I just love the Italian language how it fits into ska and streetpunk with its melody and beauty. If you are a fan of the band and their music, you will like this one, if not, then, check out some of the other Kob releases and you will find something for you definitely.

(record review)Grave Danger-Let´er RIP!

This time of the year is somehow best for bands like this one, so ladies and gentlemen, ghouls and ghoulettes, I present to you Grave Danger! I listened and reviewed their record for this zine.

These guys are coming from Berkeley, California and they play a unique mixture of ska and gothic, called skath. This e.p. contains 3 songs of awesome dark, dancable and melodic ska punk with brass instruments covered with gothic darkness and nice goth atmosphere. It is like a soundtrack for some weird but great horror movie! All three songs are awesome and this combination works well, but Escape From Skull City somehow works best for me as a song being outstanding! I really can˙t wait for the new material, judging by this e.p. the full length will be absolutely awesome.
