(new post – news) Brazilian hardcore thrash metal warriors NADA sign with Wormholedeath

Wormholedeath is proud to welcome Brazilian hardcore thrash metal powerhouse NADA to its roster! The relentless trio has signed a deal for the release of their full-length album, Entropia, a ferocious and politically charged record that embodies the chaos and defiance of modern Brazil.

NADA: Uncompromising, Unrelenting, Unfiltered

Formed in 2020 in the interior of São Paulo, NADA emerged as a response to the growing social and political turmoil in Brazil. With the pandemic forcing them into isolation, the band used their time to craft a sound that is as raw and urgent as the reality they face.

Driven by the rise of the extreme right and the spread of fascism and denialism in Brazil, NADA channels their rage into fast, direct, and unapologetic music. Their hard-hitting riffs and no-nonsense lyrics aim at the injustices plaguing their country, blending social critique with deeply personal reflections.

After making their mark with a blistering self-titled debut EP in 2022, featuring five uncompromising tracks, the band is now set to unleash their most powerful statement yet: Entropia.

Entropia: A Soundtrack to a Fractured SocietyA sonic gut-punch that refuses to be ignored, Entropia captures the intensity of life in Brazil over the past decade. The album reimagines five tracks from NADA’s debut EP while introducing eight brand-new songs, resulting in a relentless fusion of thrash, hardcore, punk, and death metal, infused with Brazilian and South American influences. The album’s cover art, designed by @kaparootz, depicts the destruction of Indigenous values upon first contact with colonial forces—an allegory for the modern world’s descent into deception and manipulation. NADA draws a parallel between this historical loss and today’s society, where truth is often drowned in a sea of lies.More than just an album, Entropia is a battle cry. It’s the sound of a band refusing to stay silent, using music as a weapon to confront oppression and demand change.

(review) The Slime – Death Champs

a0233500770_10

The Slime are no strangers to the pages of this zine.  Hailing from Toronto, Canada, these guys have been around delivering their all out attack of thrash hardcore punk and this time they released their new two song e.p. Both songs called Death Champs and We Shine are fantastic, raw and noisy, but somehow I like We Shine better, only because it is faster and more thrash oriented than more mid tempo yet raw street gutter punk oriented Death Champs. Screaming vocals, blistering guitars and thundering bass and drums are so sweet to hear. Lyrics are good, a but metaphoric yet they fit perfectly to the music. Check this one out.

(record review) IN OTHER CLIMES-Ruthless(Dead Serious Recordings)

In Other Climes are back with a new album due out with Dead Serious Recordings and I listened and reviewed it for our zine.

Artwork

These French hardcore heavyweights have been around in the scene for 15 years now, coming from the town of Nice. The band has seen plenty of action during the years traveling all around the globe and delivering their music and thus gaining the whole legions of new fans around the continents.

The new record contains 13 songs. For those who don´t know, In Other Climes play their vision of metal influenced hardcore with a lot of breaks, mosh parts, but also straightforward hardcore fast parts. If I must compare it to some bands it would be maybe Merauder, Madball with a bit more metalic touch in the song structures. If you are a fan of harder side of hardcore, this is the right album for you, with screaming guitars, thrash metal solos thrown in a song or two for good measure, sing along choruses and great music, that is what only matters. Bands like this one are not my everyday cup of tea, but this is quality record and go get it. My favorite songs:Wolfpack, Bark, Drakkar.
