This Argentinian band stuck to my ears the first minute I heard them. It was time to talk with Morgan about different things for my webzine.

Welcome to my webzine. For a start, how would you describe your band to the readers of this zine that didnt hear of you?

Well my friend, my band Parmy Crypta is a horror punk solo project from Argentina  based on the horror fictional and paranormal real things. We like horror movies a lot but also like the paranormal things and new order conspiration theories involving reptilians.

How many releases did you have until now? Where can we find/buy your music?

We have 5 releases. First is an acoustic album called  “Angeles en mi sepulcro”, the second is an ep from 2015.“Demoniacas voces de ultratumba” , you can find our music on our youtube channel Parmy Crypta and bandcamp, and soon you will be able to hear our music on Spotify too.

You sing lyrics mostly in Spanish. Where did you play gigs? Did you do some international tour?

We play gigs anywhere! If the place is good and we can play we go there. And yes we have plans to play in other countries around the world I hope soon.

Where do you get lyrical inspiration from? What comes first, lyrics or music?

In Parmy Crypta I pick up the guitar and start to sing, its like a possesion man, i really enjoy that and sometimes the music comes first but the lyrical part can come first too, I like to think about the pain and all this things, vincúlate about my life and drop like a horror film just like that, and obviously horror films have a big part in my ideas and also aliens.

What kind of label is Black Dream records?

Black Dream records is our independent label, we do shows and put out our albums on. In the future I hope we put out other bands and spread the horror punk word (not just mine) around the fucking world!

How did you come in contact with the underground scene? Why do you love horrorpunk?

Well there are people that like us very much, and other people that hate us, just because we are doing something different and we are honest in that. Horror punk is my life in this music I feel that I can put out all my hate and if people dont understand fuck off!

How is life in Argentina? Do you have a strong scene, bands, labels, venues, gigs, zines?

The life in Argentina is really hard. The scene is nonexistent, we have like 5 bands , sorry four because my ex band (The Waisos) are now dead. There is a strong passion here about the music but also much ego in some stupid idiots, I mean, not everyone has the opportunity to play big gigs in most cases you gotta pay to play, but we are now not paying because our gigs are free.

What is your favourite horror movie subgenre? Please name top 5 all time horror movie favorites?

Hmm I think the zombie films are my favorite!

Is there any urban legend scary true story in your hometown?

Well, there are woods and there was a torture house there. At the time of the dictatorship , in 1976. People see many ghosts there, it is a nice place to relax, I get very inspired there.
