(record review)She´s The Band-A Place Of Our Own(Pee Records)

She´s The Band released their new e.p. via Pee Records and I listened and reviewed it for our zine.

This band comes from awesome Australian scene and from the city of Adelaide. The record contains 5 songs. The music the girls play is angry, but also melodic and emotional melodic hardcore punk. The lyrics on the record are personal, but at the same time addressing such issues as feminism and sexism. The vocals are harsh and screamed and they suit just fine to such music, but at the same time the voice transforms into melodic clean voice which interplays magnificently with the backing vocals. I love this record it is a strong manifest of ideas, stance and strength. Top song: Salvage.

(record review)TALK SHOW HOST/CHUMP/BIAS-3 Way Split(PCT musique)

I must admit that I love split releases, whether they are split tapes, 3 way or 4 way split tapes. I love this release and I am really glad that I had a chance to listen and review this record for our zine.

PCT musique did a really nice job releasing this record by these three bands. There are six songs on this record, two of each bands. Talk Show Host is a melodic punkrock/skatepunk band from Toronto, Canada and we already featured them on the pages of this zine. Their two songs are tight, melodic, faster paced punkrock and I loved it, like all of their earlier material. Chump are from Belgium and I never heard of them prior to these songs but I loved both of them, especially Tony Sly dedicated to tragically passed away legend. I love you guys, this song brought tears to my eyes. Excellent melodic punkrock in it˙s finest form. Bias is a punkrock band from Toulouse, France. Their punkrock is melodic, with excellent singalong and harmonic backing vocals creating awesome melodies backed by energetic melodic punk.

Awesome record! Go get it!

(news)Sunset Radio release a new video for “My Everything”

After the premiere powered by New Noise Magazine, italian pop-punk heroes Sunset Radio has revealed a new video for “My Everything”, first single taken from the new album “All The Colors Behind You” out on October 15th via This Is Core. The video was shooted in Ravenna on a 180 meter tower and directed by Filippo Cinotti. Talking about the new single the guitarist Matteo Rossi says: “If You ever feel that you’re under the weight of your past mistakes and there’s no way you can’t make it, well, This Song is for you. This Song, and the whole new album, are a step forward from our last record “Vices”. We were influenced by pop-punk bands like State Champs, Neck Deep, Real Friends, as well as hardcore-punk legends like No Use For A Name, so our goal on the new record was to blend this two worlds in one”.
