(news-punk)TNSrecords: Incisions join the family and release new single ‘War In Your Head’

TNSrecords are very excited to welcome Incisions to the family. To celebrate they have released a video for the brand new single ‘War In Your Head’.

Manchester is the home of UK DIY punk. If someone tells you otherwise, they’re wrong. Manchester birthed Incisions in 2015 and they’ve been honing the sound since. This is what being young, working class punk in the North of England sounds like. They’ve combined love, lust, liquor and rage, dragging 80s American hardcore through the streets of Manchester.

The anger and desperation at the youth being abandoned by the system is tackled in the first single from their self titled album. Discussing ‘War In Your Head’ guitarist and vocalist Jordan said…

We don’t exclusively hate the tories (but we do  hate ‘em). ‘War In Your Head’ takes a swipe at all the f*ckers that inflict suffering on those they are supposed to stand for. It talks about the consequences of their, completely disconnected from the real world, decision making. There is no glory in fighting other peoples wars for them, and you won’t get any gratitude for it either. They’ll kill us all!

As someone who has spent the last decade much like everyone else hating being lied too under a Tory regime, this song is the anthemic fist raiser we’ve needed! This is a local band that won’t be local for long. This album is looking like its really going to shake things up a bit.

The single is released ahead of the bands debut self titled album which will be released on vinyl and CD by TNSrecords in November.

(news)Legendary Hot Water Music celebrate their 25th anniversary with shows and surprises!

860040

Floridian legends Hot Water Music have been around on the scene since 1994. Now, they celebrate their 25th birthday with 2 exclusive shows on which they will play their album Caution from 2002.in its entirety along with many other surprises.

“If anyone would have told us in 1994 that we would be a band for 5 years–let alone 25–we would have never believed them. But here we are—approaching 2019–which will mark the 25th Anniversary of Hot Water Music.

Looking back at all we’ve been through over the years (we’re losing track of how many times the band has broken up now), 1 thing is clear: we couldn’t have done it without our family of supporters. We owe it all to you. Seriously.

You only have one 25th anniversary and we’ve decided to celebrate! For the first time ever, we’ll be playing some full album shows. More specifically, we’ll be doing CAUTION in full on these dates:

22.11.2019 DE – Berlin – Columbiahalle
23.11.2019 DE – Köln – Palladium

We’ll also be playing a ton of other songs and are working on some other cool surprises for these shows. Don’t miss these, they’re going to be something special!
Thank you all for 25 years, here’s to 25 more! HWM”

(record review)Waykopp-Too Loud? Too Old!

Waykopp is a band from France, from the town of Pau, that started its journey in 2013. Couple of days ago, they released their brand new album. I listened and reviewed it for this zine.

The album contains 11 songs. The music of Waykopp is a very melodic kind of pop punk/punkrock, almost bordering with indie/alternative area. That means not too distorted guitars, mid tempo pop punk, poppy vocals and personal lyrics about love, friendship and lost relationships and similar.

This band offers really nothing new or revolutionary in the music they are performing but they are doing fine this sort of punkrock. For me, of all the songs on the album the most memorable are Insomnia and Part Time Rockstar. This is the album done with heart and balls and soul, so it is worth your attention if you are a fan of softer melodies in punkrock. Check this one out, listen to the music and drop a word or two to the guys, I am sure it would mean to them a lot!
