Zombies No were originally rooted in Venezuela, yet now from Paris, France. This is a very strong e.p. containing 5 song of energetic, protesting melodic hardcore punk, sounding fresh and modern, technical yet having that old school vibe and lyrics that are rebellious yet all of us can relate to. The beauty of No Surrender made me jump all over my room, then Into The Wild blew me away with even more speed and melody making goosebumps on my skin while listening to that Maidenesque part of the song hehe. What Went Wrong is a punkrock anthem made for pumping fist in the air evolving from slower verse to superb fast chorus. Burn speaks about importance of eternal rebellion, keeping the flame of freedom alive in your heart. Falling Back is the last one I am listening and am longing for full record. Awesome!
Italian ska core masters NH3 are back with the brand new record! Here we have 12 songs of melodic and upstart punkrock filled with ska and hardcore parts plus a Fugazi cover, enough harsh to appeal to more hardcore fans, yet enough melodic to appeal to the punks who love their music more anthemic and melodic. Some Talco parallels are unavoidable so they even have Dema from Talco featuring as guest on Utopia. Anestesia is one of my personal favorites on the record being a bit more hardcore sounding, with almost nervous riff parts in the song. Liquido, Fantasma(featuring Gab) and Life are also the songs I could recommend to you. I am sad to say that I have never seen these guys perform live, I am sure they are fun as hell to watch and dance to live. Go get this one.
Wow! That´s what I like about fastcore. Otage are French hardcore punk band and they released their e.p. and lovely diy label Gargouille Asso. The e.p. contains 5 songs. The music is just what these desperate times lack, meaning pissed off hardcore punk with raw screaming, fast tempo changes from fast pogo slam style to some moshing parts like in my favorite Brasiers. The lyrics are in French but judging by little that I understand they are pissed off and political in a way, so I like that. I can only imagine how much energy this band delivers while playing live. It must be total fantastic hardcore energy bomb. Great hardcore punk for your listening pleasure indeed!
