After years of performing all across Israel alongside International acts, releasing albums, and keeping Jerusalem’s metal scene alive with their original bands, band members from Jerusalem’s Godfather of thrash  Shwortsechaye ” and “ Birth ” decided to form Sintax in late 2010.

Sintax toured Israel and had a special feature on the Israeli Headbangers Ball , and released two video clips from their already recorded album “ Sway For A Better Day ”.  The album itself got some raving reviews both domestic and abroad. Sintax is considered a super group by Israeli standards and has an established fan base all over the country. Sintax live act is considered one of the best metal live act in Israel to date.

Here’s the new single “ Lunchtime Funeral ” from upcoming album “ Nano 3000 ”

(review) ASHPIPE-Sbandati(Kob Records)

SBANDATI_CD Cover 12x12

Kob Records continues to release great records. This time they released Ashpipe cd called Sbandati to celebrate 13 years on the road of that great band.

Ashpipe play a nice mixture of melodic streetpunk, ska and folk influenced music. There are 19 songs on this record, 16 being taken from the bands˙ previous records, one being unreleased song, one live and one fantastic version of O Bella Ciao. Italian is so nice to sing in melodic punkrock, I just love that language it is so full of life, melodic and energetic, sounds perfect with bands like this one. My favorites are Tolleranza Zero,  Hooligans Attitude, Forse Un Giorno, Tell Me Boy. I must admit I have never heard of Ashpipe prior to this release, so it was really nice of Enrico and Elisa to release this one, so people like me have a chance to hear this nice music and awesome record. So, go get this one, you wont regret it.

Last month Sunliner released their new EP ‘Structure / Average At Best’ on Lockjaw Records and Paper + Plastick.

Now, Sunliner release a brand new music video for the track ‘Average At Best’. Made in lockdown with things, bassist Caffs found around his house.

Vocalist Jake McAllister shouts, “The ground’s moving, and I’m spinning plates,” on Average at Best, evoking the sense of modern overwhelm that we can all relate to.
Describing his songwriting, Jake says, “I always try to make lyrics personal and to tell an arc, but I want to the listener to feel like I could be talking about them. We all struggle, and all have our worries and problems. I might not be able to fix them, but hopefully we can make people feel even a little less alone.”

The EP is out on Lockjaw Records (UK/EU) and Paper + Plastick (USA) on 22 May 2020. and is available as a picture flexi-disc with a host of fun extras, and exceptional artwork from Eloise McAllister.

As an effort to help in these troubling times, Sunliner will be donating £1 from each sale of the Flexi-disc to Leeds North & West Foodbank.
