Bio:

White Thunder are part of the italian progressive metal scene, with an original sound and a varied proposal that starts from classic metal and takes inspiration from many other genres outside of it.

They were formed in 2011 and after some line-up changes they found the right formula with Mattia Fagiolo on vocals, Alessandro De Falco and Jacopo Fagiolo on guitars, Simone Ndiaye on bass and Davide Fabrizio on drums.

The ingredients of their music: a careful use of dynamics, with clean sections alternating with aggressive and fast sections, power, creativity and a very strong union between the instrumental and the voices, both melodic and growl.

The first EP “Never Ending Silence” was released in 2019, propedeutic to the preparation of the debut album “Maximum: The Journey Of a Billion Years“, a work that presents a progressive metal concept with many colorful shades.

Their lyrics investigate the dynamics of the most intimate and controversial emotions.

(review) Tir – Persepolis

a1249426711_10

Tir started its musical journey in Turkey, but now it resides in Australia. The music of Tir can be described as dungeon synth with dark ambient, dark/neofolk influences in the songwriting and song structures. This record offers 15 songs of epic soundscape. The atmosphere is majestic, epic, yet at the same time sometimes eerie. Dungeon synth is not the music for wide masses and for ordinary people, but all of the hearts that are really into it will find themselves more than satisfied with this album. My personal favorites on this one are Righteous Viraz with such epic almost fantasy melody and also The Dragon King Raised an Army having such vibe and atmosphere that you can almost touch it and feel it with your hands and it can enter all of your body through your eyes, ears and possess your mind and heart having that martial beat and making your skin crawl with goosebumps. But, you will have to find your own personal favorites if you love such music. Go ahead, have a listen, let yourselves go to other dimension with this one.

(review) Kali Masi – [laughs]

541362

Kali Masi are hailing from Chicago and this is their new record out in EU with Homebound Music.

This record contains ten songs and the music of Kali Masi can be described as melodic and emotional punk rock with indie influences in the song structures. This is not your fast no holds barred skatepunk, but rather more slowed down and mid tempo emotional anthems, filled with all the right stuff you need when listening to such record. Meaning nice vocal lines and harmonies, beautiful poetic song lyrics and choruses just made for singing and humming long after you finished listening to the record, yet something draws you to it again and again. Songs like Gulit Like A Gun which hits you in the eye with superb melody and gradation of drama and poetry. Also, Long Term is superb song, my personal favorite, but don´t let that tell you that others are not worth, quite the contrary, you must listen to this awesome record and find your own favorites and you will, believe me. I remember when I was a ferocious and wild hardcore kid, records such as this one were not my cup of tea to say at least, but now I learned to love and cherish emotional treats like this one. Great record.
