(recenzija) Furze – Black Psych Tormentor

Evo i novog e.p.-a Furze. To je inače one man band iz Trondheima, Norveške nastao u umu jednog Woe J.Reapera i na sceni je od 1998., te je do sada izdao sedam dugosvirajućih albuma. Furze svira miks old school norveškog black metala, kao što se može čuti u pjesmi Powers of Darkness, te avantgardnog, na trenutke čak i progresivnog black metala, a u nekim dijelovima pjesama može se čuti čak i utjecaj mrvice industriala i atmosferičnog blacka. Meni inače leži ovakav pomalo čudan black metal, drugačiji od nekih okvira i nemam ništa protiv ponekim eksperimentiranjima u pjesmama, dok to ne zvuči previše pretenciozno i naporno, a u ovom slučaju ne zvuči tako. Ima i neke autoironije u ponekim dijelovima pjesama i crnog humora. Sve u svemu, dobar novi e.p.

Abysmal Dawn shares video for re-recording of – Blacken the Sky!

Los Angeles death metal titans ABYSMAL DAWN will be releasing their new EP ‘Nightmare Frontier’ on February 4, 2022 via Season of Mist! In conjunction with the release, the band is now sharing a brand new video for the re-recording of ‘Blacken the Sky’!

ABYSMAL DAWN frontman/founding member Charles Elliott comments: “When it came time to record this EP we started discussing re-recording an older track. After a bit of back and forth, we all ended up voting for “Blacken The Sky”. That was actually the first song I ever wrote for Abysmal Dawn, and it seemed sort of fitting to update it a little for a new era. Enjoy!“
