Finnish hardcore metal band HEATHEN HEARTS unleashes Northern Hardcore with new video ‘Starve the Machine’!

Kotka-based hardcore metal gang HEATHEN HEARTS comes back with its ‘Northern Hardcore’ in the form of the newest single ‘Starve the Machine’Taken from the band’s upcoming EP ‘No Light Left To Chase’, the new trackstands out as the only mid-tempo fist in the face song of the EP. It differs from the overall fast and more traditional hardcore sound which helps the Finnish metal and the melodic side of the band to shine through.

The band had this to say about ‘Starve the Machine’:
‘The song was the first one we wrote and completed after our first EP was written. The music video is a straight sequel to the ‘World of Ash’ from our first EP and also starred the same young actress who was already on the previous video. We will not reveal the actual idea of either of the videos, but if you watch them and pay attention, it might be quite obvious. ‘Starve the Machine’ was again directed, filmed and edited by our trusted man Jari Heino, and the cinematic look and the colors of the video matches to the overall sound of the song perfectly.’

(new single-black metal) One man black metal LENAX released single ‘Inner Dimension’!

Inner Dimension is a song about realizing the dualities of light and dark, specifically about indulging in what may be considered a curse and turning it into a tool for your advantage as a unique and powerful individual.

Lenax is a solo black metal band based in the Nashville area. With collaborators ranging as far away as Spain, Greece, and Ukraine, they have been able to accelerate my project while also bringing in new creativity. I am currently crafting a full length album called ‘Infection’ due out in December of this year. The album has a conceptual theme of man’s primal urge for personal freedom told through metaphors ranging from war to cosmic horror.

(new single) Rusty Wounds released cover of Johnny Cash’s ‘Hurt’! Watch and listen here!

After the release of three singles ‘Come As You Are’, ‘Everlong’ and ‘Like a StoneRusty (frontman of the metal band Klogr) is back with a new single and EP that collects tracks produced in the studio as well as live performances. This time, Rusty aims his focus on the song ‘Hurt’, sacred to many, written by Trent Reznor (NIN) and masterfully reinterpreted by Johnny Cash. In Rusty’s arrangement the two versions of the song coexist and merge, creating a mix between industrial and unplugged.

Speaking on ‘Hurt‘, Rusty declares ‘Confronting certain works of art makes you feel small but alive at the same time. It is one of the most important song for me that is contained on this EP’.

The rendition of ‘Hurt’ will be found on the EP ‘Genetic Code’, which will be the first full release of the project in partnership with Superbia Music Group. The work was produced by Rusty and Federico Ascari (who mixed and mastered all the tracks) and contains 5 tracks produced in the studio and 5 live performances. The songs produced in the studio were formed at the time of the COVID-19 lockdown period, while the live performance songs were captured during the the rehearsal for the live show. Bringing together all the pieces, the ultimate goal for the project is staging a journey through rock, grunge and industrial. Bringing a live show accompanied by visuals and light production, to give each song a specific characteristic and setting.

Rusty: ‘After years of traveling around Europe with my main project Klogr, I needed to do something that would bring me to experience music also close to home. I’ve always had a conflicting relationship with cover bands or tributes, I find they are excellent entertainment but ultimately, they’re not for me. I need to give my point of view, my version, question myself and confront songs that they made history… I can’t just play someone else’s part. This is the main reason that led us to arrange the songs in an unusual way while maintaining their nature. The EP is an introduction to the sound of the project and a view of original music to come’.
