Punkrockers Let’s Go released new single called ‘Our Song’

Let’s Go is a Punk Rock band from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Melodic, Heavy, Fast. From thrash metal to honky tonk, they are well known for swinging across genres with reckless abandon, while always keeping one worn out shoe planted in the modern skatepunk sound that has been a staple since their inception in 2018.

The boys are back with their second full length album “Smile” that will be released via High End Denim Records. A dark lament to the greed that lives in the hearts of men, it also features songs of redemption and unity. Fast tempo riffing and melodic hooks punctuate thoughtful lyrics that ought to put a smile on your face.

The first single “Our Song” dropped on October 20 while the rest of the album will be released on November 24.

Here’s what the band has to say about the tune: “‘Our Song’ is a working class anthem that questions the balance of power in a peak capitalist society. Wailing gruff harmonies and yearning lyrics decorate this 2 minute power ballad tour de force!”

Irish Thrash Metallers Crossfire Sign With Wormholedeath and Release ‘Switch To Reset’ Single!

(review) Thousand Year War – ‘Nidhöggr’

Thousand Year War are hailing from USA and apparently there are only two entities in this band, namely Hiram Lohr-Guitars, Keys, Bass and Bryan Arant- Drums. This is band’s second EP and it contains five songs of pagan Viking metal. Some of the song parts reminded me of Bathory a lot, like ‘Kingdom Of Nastrond’. I love the mixture of screeching vocals with clean sung parts and you can understand what is being sung most of the time. Music? A mixture of melodic death/black metal with pagan Viking metal and guitar and keyboard melodies are very catchy and get into your ear like for example excellent title song. The music is warrior pride and aggressive, but at the same time has that melancholy in guitar riffs and sometimes sadness, at least I hear it like that. My personal favorites are the title song and ‘Hammer to the Heart of Christ’. Great pagan Viking metal indeed!
